Music Therapy Handbook (Creative Arts and Play Therapy) First Edition

This book was assigned for my intro class. I have read other music therapy text books, but this one does a great job outlining important information in each chapter. I have learned a ton just by reading! Would highly recommend!

A good and thorough resource as an introduction into the field of music therapy that is accessible to a wide audience.

Good outline of what Music Therapy is in the Western tradition. It is a codification of very ancient knowledge / wisdom and unfortunately comes across as the only valid path. Music has potential for positive or negative effect. The negative is not regulated except by the music industry who manipulate with it!!! A good resource nevertheless

The Kindle version of this book is horrible. It doesn't have the "search" module, the font is too big. As a university student I'd like to be able to search per chapter and I can't even do that.
