Great brushes
The brushes don’t shed and the small ones are great for detail. Very much worth the money.

Exactly what I wanted and needed
Great, affordable round brushes that keep their shape. Perfect for all the watercolor painting that I do daily.

Good student brush.
Good quality student grade brush. Great for learning. I loved the red color on the handles, and the different size variety is good as well. Bristles are soft yet hold their shape with little shedding.

Good
Fine brushes. Hubby got these on Amazon haul. He kind of crazy & got like 5 or 6 different sets. Haven't tried this set yet.

Disappointing
I'm a long-time artist but a newcomer to watercolors, so I had mixed feelings about what kind of brushes to start with. I had tons of brushes already but figured I should get watercolor brushes specifically, so they'd hold the water better, etc. These brushes looked decent and the price was right, since I wasn't sure if I'd stick with watercolors or not. They're nice looking and the bristles are extremely soft. Too soft for my taste as it turns out, but I think very soft bristles are generally a good attribute in watercolor brushes for most people. They're very easy to clean. The three largest brushes are nice, and the fourth largest is so-so. But the 5 smallest brushes are lousy, not one of them holds a point or taper, they all splay out no matter how nicely I taper them before drying. The result is double/triple lines instead of a fine line and random stray bristles that stick out. Additionally, one of the brushes is actually bent near the top of the handle. They're also extremely lightweight which might be good for some people, but I find that they fly around my art desk with one wrong move and roll around too easily when I paint outside. I will probably use the larger ones until I get a new set but I already ruined two pieces now by trying to use the smaller ones so those are useless. It's too bad, they looked nice in the listing. Live and learn.
