I have used this pond soil a couple of times now for potting up lotus as well as water lilies. It’s worked quite well. I did overlay it with some small pond gravel but the Lilly seems to really like it.

My favorite substrate for planted aquariums, my aquatic plants grow great with this as a base layer!

The soil is exactly as advertised. My only qualm is that I found it exceptionally difficult to guess how much I needed based on it being sold in cubic inches. As a result I was a bit astonished at how small these bags are, especially for the price. So for those having the same issue, I say this, the volume is roughly that of a two gallon jug of milk. I personally think it's more of a $15-$18 value based on volume. I struggled to see the value in $25 for these bags. But if money isn't a concern then it's a great product as advertised.

Great purchase! I love this plant. It takes a little bit for the seeds to grow in a plant like in the picture. It took me more or less one month. Very important is to crack seeds so sprouts can easily come out. And be patient ! Beautiful result!

I have a 55 gallon community tank with sand substrate. When I decided to go back to live plants, I didn't want to change to soil substrate or use fertilizer tabs in the sand. So I tried "potting" plants instead. Got a bunch of clay pots and planters for plants that need burying. Filled them with this soil and topped with sand, gravel and small rocks. Works great, my tiger lotus plants are shooting up to the surface, Amazon swords thrive, jingle vals do fine... The best part of doing it this way is easy maintenance and rearranging plants. Hardly any dirt gets stirred up.

This was such a small amount for a very big price . Totally surprised. I haven’t used the product yet but I know I won’t be buying it again based on amount of product and the price associated with it

c'est parfait si fait correctement. je suggère fortement pour ne pas embrouiller l'eau de tasser l'eau en dehors du bassin en a rajoutant dans le pot qui contient la terre plusieurs fois dans la journée pour écraser la terre et garder l'eau de votre bassin propre. SI VOUS NE METTEZ PAS D'eau dans le pot en dehors du bassin plusieurs fois pour écraser la terre en dehors du bassin et faire en sorte que la terre s'écrase et se pacte alors lorsque vous mettrez le pot dans votre bassin l'eau deviendra toute brune et terreuse. j'ai appris de mes erreurs et je sais maintenant comment il faut faire
