I really liked this wireless car charger. It fits the AC vents on both my vehicles and held the phone without movement and seems well made. We used it on a four day road trip and it worked quite well overall. I just put the phone (an old Galaxy S9) in the charger and it automatically clamped onto it. It charged well even through the hard plastic shell on the phone, which was a real plus. Hopefully it will last awhile . . . if not I will try to remember to update this review, but for now 5 stars! BTW - be sure to have a fast charger to plug this into to get a good charging rate, otherwise it might not keep up when using maps on your phone (which uses a lot of juice).

Major edit: item was broken on the 2nd day of use. I will initiate the return and replacement of this failed item. I'll let you know how the replacement procedure goes with this manufacturer. Original review: I have bought this item more than once. I power this with a two-prong wall charger. Works great! Charges fast. Will hold a heavy cell phone steady and allows you to change the phone's angle/position without having to remove it from the cradle. Has the best "bite" on the vent louvers of any I've tried, while allowing easy opening or closing of the vent's slide adjustment, important if you're running the car's heater. Won't fall off the vent or let go of your phone when you hit a bump. Wall pack for fast phone charging.

I needed a solution for our Mazda. If you have one, you know there aren't many good places to mount a phone without blocking access or the view of something else. One of the ideal spots is in fact right in front of the vent. I've tried vent clips before and had mixed results, mostly med or poor. But I saw the mechanism with this vent clip where you place it first, then tighten slowly until everything tightens up. The mount clip spans 3 vent slats, and the cushion / pad tightens down nicely and firmly. In the Mazda, the convenience 12v outlet is low on the passenger side, which makes it a little out of the way to go fishing for the cable each time you get in the car. With this wireless mount, no longer an issue. connected the wire and tucked it in a bit, out of the way and that's it. As far as the charging mount itself, well, I picked it for it's low profile design, and clean lines, and it doesn't disappoint. Looks great, quite stable, rotates to landscape and back as needed, no problem. The mechanism itself does it's job. I've had automatic clamping mounts before, and thought they were a little slow. Not this one, this closes almost instantly, and releases when you push the button. You can push the button on either side. Once you get used to the button's location, pressing it just becomes part of your natural motion to grab the phone. I was also worried about how difficult it would be to remove the phone after turning off the car (no power). This would have been a deal breaker for me, but thankfully not an issue- the mechanism retains some power and operates normally even when the car is off. Must be a battery in there. I don't know for how long or how many times it will open and close without being plugged in, but I did it 4 times, which is 3 more than I've needed since. Finally, I used the included USB-c cable to connect the mount, and I get Fast Wireless Charging each time I place my Samsung S23, with its fairly sturdy (2mm thick) case, in the mount. So- after about two weeks of daily use- I realized I love this charging mount, so much so that I decided to take some pics and write a review. Highly recommend.

I love how sturdy it is. Works well so far with most cases & phones, I haven't tried a chunkier case which I figure will not work. Charging speed is pretty fast. I live in the Midwest, so I noticed in the colder months it does get stuck, maybe frozen. It reopens with ease after the car warms up. This does not affect the charging ability.

I've used four different brands of Auto clamping and auto charging holders, this by far is my favorite. It's the quietest, it's the quickest to open and shut, the target area for the charging is large, and my favorite part is that my unit I directly wired into the car's ignition system so it turns off and on with the car, and this unit has enough capacitance in the power system that if you shut your car off it will still power open to get the phone out without having to turn the key back on your car when you forget to remove your phone before you shut off the car. The only thing I don't know is longevity yet

Great mount. Mine would charge and stop, charge and stop with my Pixel phones. Then I read I needed a QC 3.0 charger so I got one but that didn't fix it. Turns out my USB cable was junk. Everything works great now. The company even sent me a new device when I reported problems!

Best phone holder and wireless charger for the price. The automatic holding and releasing is a super nice feature as well!
