Works as expected
I used this with the Drill Doctor 750X which I purchased from Amazon as well - and this works exactly as expected and produces evenly sharpened bits. New Zealand operates on 230Vac mains but luckily I have a 230to 115Vac transformer. I managed to get this product for significantly less that the same product with the 230Vac motor in NZ.

Past due.
Didn't realize how much the old one was wore down till I installed the new one.

Makes a very good smooth cutting surface
Makes a very good smooth cutting surface. Great for final grinding and touching up bits. Haven't had it long enough to comment on longevity but I like it so far...

I believe I received the wrong wheel
When I removed the wheel from the package it looked more coarse than the factory wheel. I have experience with 220 grit wheels on carbide die inserts. It fit on the motor shaft perfectly, ran true, the diamond grit extended to both edges just as it should and there was no excessive vibration when running. However it left a very rough finish even with very light cuts. More rough than the factory supplied 180 grit wheel. I believe the wrong wheel might have been put in the 220 grit package and reluctantly had to send it back.

Be careful using this diamond wheel to prevent damage to your drill bits
This diamond wheel is an "exact" fit and performs as well as the original delivered with the Drill Doctor 750X. Be aware that the abrasive is a 220 grit whereas the 750X is delivered with a 180 grit. The directions that accompany the drill doctor refers to a 100 grit but does not discuss a 220 grit. Note that while using the tool the wheel can get very hot and turn your bit being sharpened "Blue". Basically damaging the bit.

Drill Doctor replacement grinding wheels
I ordered both 220 and 80 grit diamond grinding wheels from Specialty Diamond in order to have a full compliment of grinding surfaces for a variety of tasks. When I received them, I gave them a close examination using Opti-Visor magnifiers. I could see absolutely no difference between these wheels and the wheel that came with the Drill Doctor, as well as 2 wheels ordered from a different source. It is hard to grade a diamond surface by touch when the grades are so close to each other, but here again I could not feel a discernible difference between 2 wheels of the same grade. Due to this similarity in visual and tactile identification, I used a micro engraver to engrave the grit on both ends of all of my wheels(blame this on age, vision, OCD, etc.) When one of these wheels should wear down to an unsatisfactory state, I will reorder from Specialty Diamond, not only for price points, but quality of their products, packaging, and shipping speed.

Quality, Quality, Quality
This wheel didn't work well at all. The plating was poor, or in fact terrible in comparison to the original wheel that came with my Drill Doctor. The edge of the wheel should be used for splitting the drill and the wheel received didn't have any plating on part of the edge corner. Sometimes, it really makes sense to spend a little more money to buy the parts from the manufacturer instead of an off-brand.

Produces a better finish but needs a little more patience
If you take the time to get good at using your Drill Doctor want a better finish on your bits then you will like this diamond wheel. Mine came with a good coating of diamond all the way to the edge so it does split points well too. Pros: Cheaper than the original replacement wheel Gives a better finish on the bits Cons: Cuts slower thus it takes a little longer (a little more patience) Cheaper than the original replacement wheel I would recommend this to a friend
