Wow!!!
XyliMelts were recommended by my new dental hygienist who said she was told about them at a dental conference by a well known hygienist "guru". I ordered them at around four in the morning because I was up as usual because if my chronic pain syndrome and the dry mouth caused by my pain pills. I got them quickly via Amazon and have not been up again this time of night due to the dry mouth. Now I'm up due to the pain but can fall asleep quickly because of the XyliMelts, they work great! I only use one at a time and it lasts around four hours and I put in another one and go right back to sleep. It's so easy to push the little tab out of the cellophane and just hold it on my gum for ten seconds and voila! No more dry mouth. I used to wake up with my mouth so dry there was no saliva at all in my mouth and parched was an understatement, my mouth felt like sandpaper! Now it's always nice and moist and the taste is extremely pleasant (I didn't get the mint). I had to have two teeth extracted four days before Christmas and my dentist said it was due to the dry mouth and that he sees patterns like this in patients with dry mouth and I'd probably lose more teeth unless I came in for cleanings and check ups three times a year instead of two and we kept a really close eye on my teeth. I'd been using Biotene gel but it wasn't keeping my mouth moist long enough. I'm extremely happy with XyliMelt! I'm also 100% sure I won't be losing any more teeth due to my night time dry mouth because it's a thing of the past! Thanks to amazon prime shipping I got my XyliMelts very quickly, and my nighttime dry mouth is a thing of the past! I know they don't claim to stop cavities but without the dry mouth and my new commitment to see my dentist three times a year and to always always brush my teeth before I fall asleep (no more Rolos in bed after I've done my final teeth brushing), I'm confident my dentist won't see a tooth loss pattern in my mouth.

Beyond happy and grateful with relief!
I seldom comment, and this may be my most enthusiastic review ever; it's worth taking the time to write. The short of it is, I developed severely dry mouth from use of medications. I never dreamt this "problem" would be so frustrating and stressful. I followed every suggestion to self remedy (consciously closed mouth sleeping, no fans in room, hydration, etc.) but nothing worked, and I'd wake up choking several times a night, exasperated. I even slept with a water bottle 2 inches from my face to access water quickly. This product has saved me completely from my dry mouth discomfort. I no longer wake up several times a night and I'm over the moon with joy and relief!. They are eraser size tabs that have an "adhesive" (food grade) side that adheres to your gums. It takes just a few minutes to acclimate to their presence and for them to conform to your gum shape. The other side of the tablet slowly dissolves, creating a fine saliva-like (or combination of) moisture throughout your entire mouth and it stays that way for hours! In my case, they last 7-8 hours long. The taste is ever so slightly sweet (non mint variety), and makes my breath feel fresh without the harsher minty taste of toothpaste. I am truly grateful to have found this product; it's worth every penny and more!

Xylimelts work...very very well..finally moisture to my mouth for longer than anything i have tried
i have xerostomia...this is a dry mouth due to radiation treatments...I have minimum saliva. I must sip water or a liquid with every bite of food. When i talk my mouth quickly dries and makes it difficult to speak......I have tried many....many different sprays, gels, etc. etc. Along came Xylimelts and it has been the best thing for me to date. It does add some moisture to my mouth and the great part is that it lasts for a very long time. I use the mint free only because my dry mouth is more sensitive to certain tastes. I once used Biotene and now i stay away from all of their products.....Biotene was around a while and marketed their product and had become very popular....Glaxo Smith Kline ( the big drug company that only cares about their profits over our health) purchased Biotene and had altered the product for the worse and they have done this with other products. They actually removed beneficial ingredients and replaced them with poor ingredients....Here is just one example: Xylitol was in one of their products ( Biotene toothpaste) when they purchased the company from Biotene. Xylitol has beneficial qualities and they replaced it with the Cancer in Laboratory rats ingredient called Sacharin... They have removed other ingredients as well...I stay away from any product from Glaxo Smith Kline. I have my own personal boycott and that means I no longer buy their Tums as well... Yes...They played their games with Tums also.....so i just do not buy their products. Xylimelts does work for me...very very well. It adheres to the gums above my teeth and it just stays there adds moisture to my mouth. Obviously i recommend this product

Works but be a mild warning for those who can't handle xylitol or artificial sweetners.
This review is specifically for those who are sensitive to any sort of artificial sweeteners, sucralose/splenda, aspartame, stevia, etc -- basically any sweetener that is not sugar or honey. I use a CPAP and I am one of the rarest of cases who can't tolerate any type of artificial sweetener. If it's not sugar or honey, I'll have issues. They make a mint flavor but this one is only for the "not minty slightly sweet" flavor. I am sensitive to taste and the taste is fine to me, this one is not minty, it's almost like a very light caramel flavor to me. I am EXTREMELY sensitive to any type of artificial sweetner. I cannot have splenda/sucralose, I cannot have stevia, aspartame, or any other non-sugar sweetner. If it's not sugar or honey I can't have it (which of course is not good for overnight stuck up against your tooth at the gumline). Like maybe one soda before noon. If it's later in the day I will be up all night with gastric issues, and I mean like **** through a goose, and in addition vomiting because of the horrifying aftertaste in my mouth. The sweetener in this is xylitol and I'm sensitive to that also, ugh! However, I have found that if I use as directed, which is 2 pills at once, one stuck to each side of my mouth on my teeth at the gumline against my cheek, I can do that twice in one night (4 total) without any, um, "loosey goosey" gastric issues. 2 pills will last you about 4 hours and so then you need to replace them in the night whenever you inevitably wake up with dry mouth b/c they're gone. I also need to remember to stay hydrated (which is an issue with me) so my mouth will produce at least some saliva to get things started. I have a CPAP and no matter what they tell you, the humidifier electric tube still will dry out your mouth like the desert. So this helps me but YMMV but I am an extreme case so it should probably help you, but be careful if you are sensitive to artificial sweeteners of any sort, you might try one or two of these during the day at first, and make sure you're near to a bathroom (probably not good to try it for the very first time if you're on a road trip across west texas you know). I rate it as "very good" it is not perfect and not a miracle cure but it is better than anything I've ever tried including oral rinses. My best case scenario with the heated tube for the CPAP humidifier still leaves me so dry my tongue gets glued to the top of my mouth, like when I get up for a drink of water I have to take a tiny sip until my throat opens up. I get that dry. Ugh, why does every single thing have to be the most extreme, extra, overdramatic performance with me? I hope it works for y'all and I hope this review helps.

Odd but surprisingly great
These things are pretty weird. I had no idea what I was ordering when I ordered them. When they came, I didn't read the documentation and tried one like a normal breath mint. No no no. I set them aside for a few months -- until I read an article online in which dentists were interviewed and in which the dentists recommended products helpful for dental health. These things were mentioned in that list, so I dug them out and read the documentation. Oddly enough, each "melt" has an adhesive-like side that will keep it in place against your jaw (tucked out-of-the-way, between gum/teeth and cheek). And, it's gone -- there but forgotten. Lasts for hours (no kidding), slowly dissolving, keeping your mouth moist (like for speaking) and keeping your breath slightly "minty fresh" (I'm laughing at that expression.). And, apparently, there is a flouride-like dental benefit, but I haven't researched that. Anyway, I highly recommend these quite-strange "melts" (not mints but slightly minty).

May Work Better for Talking and Scuba Diving
Maybe better used other than at night. like for daytime when needing to speak for a long time. For my Sjogren's severe dry mouth, I wake up coughing if I don't use something at night or wake up and drink water. But one of these doesn't last all night, and though the taste is fine it's a little chalky. I also didn't find it comfortable placed in between inside of my cheek and gum, as the instructions state, so most comfortable for me is roof of mouth. No drooling at all, but no coughing until it is gone. I haven't tried 2 at night but expect that to only generate more moisture but still won't last all night. These might also be a good choice for scuba diving since they stick in the mouth so well. I also can't find these anywhere locally in northern California, so with shipping, they are too expensive.. I found that ACT lozenges work better for me. They are larger, the mint taste is good without any chalky taste, and they last all night for 8 hours of sleep! They don't have that sticky side, but I find that once it softens a little and gets wet, it sticks to the roof of my mouth or under my tongue all night long! They would never go down my throat and choke me while sleeping because my throat is too dry. Cost of these is about $7 for 36 compared to about $17 + shipping for Xylimelts, and ACT is available everywhere at stores like Walgreens. The choice is clear. I just switched to ACT dry mouth toothpaste and mouthwash, and they are the best! No more Biotene stuff for me.

Perfect for my chronic dry mouth!
I love this product!!! I have chronic dry mouth because of Sjogren's Syndrome and have purchased several products hoping for some relief. I first tried Biotene Gel, and this would help for around 20 to 30 minutes. I was hoping to find something that would last longer, though. I purchased a mouth spray with Xylitol, called Spry at the same time I purchased the XyliMelts. The spray was a pleasant mouth moisturizer, but the relief was very temporary, like maybe 10 to 15 minutes. The XyliMelts, however, will work for hours! At night, I place one on an upper molar and it lasts pretty much all night. It's definitely gone in the morning, but it has worked to keep my mouth moist and coated throughout my sleeping. I am thrilled with this! It doesn't last as long during the day, but I can put one in before going to yoga and taking a walk, and it will last about an hour and a half or more, which I think is pretty great. I may continue to supplement the XylifMelts with some Biotene gel in between, but these tablets will now be a permanent part of managing my dry mouth. Oh, and you can purchase them mint-free. They have a very pleasant, not too sweet taste, and are discreetly tucked away at the back of your mouth. Wonderful!

Fantastic
These little tablets really do work, I found that just one stuck onto my gum worked by keeping my mouth moist throughout the night and a bonus is they give you a really fresh tasting mouth in the morning too!
