This is a Battery Eliminator - not a "Charger" at all! Very convenient in the car. Recommended.
It Does Not Charge Anything!!As the product description says further down, this is a battery eliminator = it replaces the radio battery and powers the radio directly from the car, and that's very convenient.Using the 12V adapter that comes with the TYT radio is not convenient at all. That adapter powers the drop-in charger base, and that's just not convenient in the car (leave it at home!)The headline "Car Charger Battery Eliminator" must mislead a few people.

Nice, solid feel.
Works great for its intended purpose, really like the feel of it - seems well made. Not much else to say, it eliminates the need for a battery and draws power from the vehicle.

Didn’t work
Didn’t work. I bought it almost 5 months ago, left it in the package, and hooked it up today. Doesn’t work. Tried multiple power sources and other battery eliminators, for other radios. All worked but this one. Very disappointed.
