Does this set include every color?

This is long and boring, but is as accurate as possible. You’ve been warned…

Ohuhu “Honolulu” are the brush tipped markers. BUT, they make two kinds of nibs for the other end: chisel or fine. This was confusing for consumers, as they DO NOT have the same number of markers and aren’t released at the same time. They recently broke the “Honolulu” line into “Honolulu A” & “Honolulu B,” which was much needed & very helpful. The “A” line is a brush & chisel…the traditional type. It has the most colors (320? Maybe more?) & is their largest color palette.

This listing is part of the “Honolulu B” line, which is a brush/fine combo. These are always more expensive, are released later/more slowly, & have a smaller range of colors. Currently, this listing is their “largest set,” and they claim 216 is the total range for the “B” series.. However, over time these have been released in “bits & bobs;” as a result, as F. Turner’s comment accurately illustrates, there are actually some 24 (maybe more?) colors that DON’T show in their “full” 216 set.

I have been building my set up as these smaller sets came out. Starting at 120, Ohuhu says that their 168-set includes their 48 “Pastel” set. From there, they’ve just released another set of 48 “midtones” (not to be confused with their standalone set of 48), and per the company, those are ALL the colors in the 216 FULL set. HOWEVER, they’ve *also* previously released a set of 36 grays and a skin tone set of 36. I don’t own the gray set, but I *do* have the 36 skin tones; while 12 were duplicates from the 120 set, 24 are not. (Idk if there’s addl “extra” colors in the grays…)

It’s been a long process of trying to figure out which markers have which tips, what colors are or are not in other sets, and trying to purchase addl sets when the “chisel” ends are not only less expensive, but come to market much faster and with the biggest color range. For ME, the 216+ is a very comprehensive collection; I’m never missing a color, much less the addl 100+ in the chisel set, but YMMV.

A final consideration: These STILL aren’t available open stock, or with refills or replacement nibs. You COULD color match to COPIC and refill, but it’d be a major expense & overall PITA to replace nibs (they’re a FORTUNE) & inks w/COPICS. (It’d honestly be likely as much, or more, than just buying the COPIC markers themselves…either individually as needed, or in some sets if on sale.)

Does this honolulu b set (brush and fine dual tips) comes with the all 320 colors???

Does this set have trays to keep the markers upright?

It only has the bag which when they are in the bag they stay upright if the bag is upright. The pens are double-sided so when one side is upright the other side is facing down.
