These were purchased specifically because they were called out as being "Super Heavy Duty" because we were hanging some heavier, high-quality tapestry style drapes. We should have returned these right after we realized we needed to pull in some of the drape from either side when opening or closing, because the mechanism would bog and skip. We took the drapes down and realigned the mechanism a number of times to make sure it was correct. Even purchased a lubricant specifically made for this use. Now, here we are less than a year later and the actual metal of the rod is distorting and the loops catch every time we try to open or close. Add on to that, the mounting hardware that's included is the bare minimum of what's needed to support heavy drapes and these are a loser. I really think we are owed a refund and will be pursuing directly with the company.

We were worried that this rod wouldn't hold our heavy double hung drapery because the metal was not as durable as our old one that lasted many years but so far it's holding up. Will post later if there is a problem. Would recommend that if you are hanging heavy drapes to install more supports. Also my husband added metal strips to the end supports to make them stronger and hold our drapery up, (they had a tendency of twisting when we pulled the strings to make the drape slide in either direction) which is why it's probably working out. Would have given it 5 stars except for this and should have only given them 2 stars. They should use stronger metal and not call this a "super heavy duty rod"!!! Would have returned it except we didn't discover the problem until we already had the rod up and the drapery installed on the rod! If you are not handy you might have problems with this rod and heavy drapes.

I have a 12 foot span with heavy drapes and none of the center support brackets work properly. Only 1 of them actually "clips" on to the rod, the other 2 don't attach at all. The one that actually attaches only stays attached until you either open or close the drapes, then it also pops off. So now I'm left with a full 6 inch bend in the rod when the drapes are closed. It looks like crap. I'm not in any condition to drag a ladder out twice a day to reattach the one brace that sort of works when I open drapes in morning and close at night. I'm very ticked off as this was money wasted that I can't afford to waste. I may as well have just thrown my money in the garbage. Very ticked off

Easy to install. I was replacing a traverse rod that was probably from when the house was originally built in 1955. It was easy to switch this from a right hand center pull to a left hand center pull. It came with all the hardware needed (2 side brackets and 3 center brackets) The rod easily clipped in and is secure. It also came with a cord detangler/guide that you can screw to the wall and the bottom pull cord pulley/handle to mount to the wall. Excellent product!

Update- I contacted the seller and was promptly sent a replacement for the bent rod. Still wouldn’t order this size online again, it just doesn’t make sense for something this long and potentially bendable. But if I ever needed shorter traverse rods I’d order from them again without hesitation. Seems pretty sturdy. Exactly what I needed. Added a star for that. Except there is no way to even mount it on the wall considering the huge bend it arrived with. Should have known it was something I had to buy locally, don’t see how this could ever get shipped without damage unless they added steel rods to the box or something.

This is perfect and exactly what I needed. I was replacing a very old, outdated double traverse rod and this one came quickly, was easy to install, there was no damage from shipping, and it works well. It slides so nicely when I’m opening or closing the curtains. Definitely recommend.

Have been needing one of these for many years and am very happy with this product. It was very easy to install on the wall and is very sturdy, I didn't even need to use the center support, although my curtains aren't very heavy. Still, I can tell it's a sturdy unit, and the draw mechanism works great. I just wish you could choose a left or right hand model for string placement; I got one with it on the right when I wanted it on the left. I understand you can switch it but I imagine it's complicated and haven't looked into it yet-- maybe I'll try when I get new curtains. Other than that, I have no complaints and plan on buying another one for the other large window in my living room. It's so convenient not to have to move all the curtains by hand along the dowel bar.

It isn’t that heavy duty & it was bent/ bowed so I had to fully extend it & slowly bend the bow out.The bend/ bow was about a 1 1/4”
