Was so looking forward to Matteo’s story and it didn’t disappoint. Being a bit nerdy myself I loved Elena and the Avengers, Dr Who, Star Wars etc references. And Comic Con? Brilliant! The chemistry between to two of them is so good. Definitely read this whole series.

Matteo intrigued me from the start. He’s a supremely powerful, Mafia boss, that is used to having all his own way. He is cold, cruel and doesn’t let anyone get close.Elena is a in chink in his armour. He can’t help but be drawn to her, even when he doesn’t want to be.This author is new to me and so looking forward to reading more of her books. Cruel King had me captivated from start to finish. Really enjoyed this story.

Matteo & Elena love story is a tense and complex one. Elena is a curvy heroine and Matteo is the sarcastic dangerous Capo."Matteo was a perfect duality. Part monster, part savior."First chapter we see a flash back of heartbreak for both characters. Mateo aiming to break her heart and Elena seeing the cruel side of Matteo for the first time...no spoilersPresent time and how they reconnected starts with a death and Elena learns a secret close to home...no spoilers I love their banter together and there is some suspense. I really recommend you read the previous books because you will miss out enjoying the whole story line.Everything come together. The ending made me tearful especially when it's Elena wedding and not Matteo pain the butt mother !! Forget Bridzilla meet Motherzilla☆MUST READ ☆

Matteo is the most frustrated man ever!I still feel there should have been more grovelling on his part, more than once he tore her down.I'm a little gutted about Enzo and feel bad for him.

Wow, definitely a twist on a much loved fairy-tale beauty and the beast in my opinion. Matteo is truly a beast, with the perception of no one ever taming him.There is soo much which happens in the story, and I don't want to give too much away. I have always been intrigued by Matteo, and there was soo much uncovered in this story and him and Elena. It will keep you hooked.I can't wait to find out who's book is next or what the amazing author writes. Highly recommend this series and the author.

Wow!! What a series closer!Matteo is DEVINE 😍😍 I absolutely adored him (sorry Dom). And Elena - strong, feisty and perfectly quirky.But the chemistry, the heat 😍😍😍And finding out who the mole is - Gob Smacked 😮😮I loved how protective Luca is over Elena, how welcoming Dom, Cassie and India are! I just can’t get enough of Matteo and I adored seeing the man behind the beast 🖤

If you've read and enjoyed the prior books in the series, you need to give this one a read. It's another addictive story that hooks you and ensures you'll eagerly devour it in a single sitting. With plenty to keep me turning the pages, I could not get enough.

This is the third book in this phenomenal series and is Matteo and Elena’s story. Matteo is powerful, unemotional, ruthless, and feared mafia king, who has a big weakness, and that is Elena, who is his best kept secret. Lena had her heart broken and in the blink of an eye her life was destroyed, leaving her on the run. Now that Lena is back in Matteo’s radar, he is determined to claim her as his. This is a well written flawless story which is emotionally charged, and is intense with danger, suspense, secrets, betrayal, lies, truths, twists, drama, and love, which leads to a thrilling and riveting page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Matteo found his queen!! I was so happy he found happiness. And u think Elena was perfect for him. This was a perfect ending to this series

Well, I wasn’t expecting things to end this way. My god I’m still mind blown. To be honest I liked this part the least, not because of the storyline and the way things all come together but I feel like I still didn't see the real Matteo Genovese. The Capo de Capi and the big boss. The one that’s not only feared the most, but also the one that no one really knows what's going on inside his mind. In the first half of this book I really couldn't look past his cold demeanor and his brutal ways. I know it’s because of how this life formed him, how this life had drilled him to be a cold, hard, ruthless, robot almost. It felt like something is truly wrong with him, not just the life he’s been leading. And then there was this bombshell, this surprise that shook the whole Cosa Nostra world and turned the tables and if that wasn’t enough things even got worse than before. I’m glad I finally got all the answers to the questions that were building up throughout this series although some things didn’t come as a surprise to me. This part just made me hate Matteo a little more instead of falling for him and I truly don’t see how someone could love him so fiercely. I don’t know it’s not often that I despise a character but Matteo just didn’t do it for me. On the other hand I loved the FMC, I loved Gianluca, Dom, Cassie and India in this part.

Haven't read a perfect mafia book in ages and glad I read this. Matteo is everything and more. I loved how he stayed the villain till the end but showed a different side to his woman. He was all about me and mine and was apologetic about it. Special word for how Elena's character was not a doormat. She knew how to bring her man to his knees without being arrogant irritating or snobbish. Loved this book

I really love all of Angels work. I adored the story and man did I get the feels when we found o it who the bad guy wasThis series is awesomeI loved Matteo. He Defn needed more grovel though. I felt like it ended weirdly abruptly. I needed more. Like 50 pages of more plotting to the finish.Mama where the heck is max? He better get a book. I need his book and he needs a love too
