MACCOURT PRODUCTS Maccourt 6525R 65 x 25 x 4 Wind Well Cover, Transparent|Clear

I bought this item to cover a window well in my backyard. It felt very flimsy at first. My two year old kicked a ball which hit it and chipped it after about 3 days. Recently it completely broke in half under the weight of a small amount of snow. I would not recommend it.

The cover is sturdy enough. Though, I don't know how to attach it to the house. Right now, it is weighted down with a bunch of bricks. It has held up this way through wind and heavy snow. I'm glad I don't have to worry about bunnies falling into the window well this spring. But, I need to hire someone to figure out how to lock it into place with the house.

There was no hardware for hingeing or fixing stationary... I laid it on the window well and put a concrete block on top, to keep it from blowing away. Still trying to figure out how I do this without making custom sheet metal hinges.
