Best tracker I've found--lost 22# last summer!
This is a wonderful tracker for those who don't want to use strictly digital info tracking products for weight loss. I used it to start off a diet for the summer and lost 22 pounds and many inches over the summer including the 6 weeks the journal covers. I can totally ignore & forget to enter info on my computer or even a plain paper printout or such--but when I paid for this product and left it on my kitchen island in plain sight--I felt somehow more obligated to keep at it daily. I tracked everything I ate, my exercise, water intake, and answered the motivational questions faithfully. It also has before and after weight and measurements. I'm not a weight loss program scammer, or anything like that--just an old lady who wants to pass on an actually helpful item! Really good for a starter rather than the regular FitBook which concentrates a lot more on detailed workouts, weight training, etc. This Lite version starts at the basics and offers tips, motivational info and gets you going in the right direction. The Lite also has space for exercise but not as complicated. I wrote down my bike riding, steps taken, and any heavy outside work that I felt was good exercise (such as push lawn mowing) in those spots. I used a step counter (see my other reviews--PINGKO, not expensive) and tried to get 5,000 steps a day. I almost always got those and some days more. This Lite version includes meal planning areas too and I used those to make food that was ready to grab & eat for a couple days without being tempted to grab snacks & fast food. HERE'S THE BEST PART: I'm 66 years old, did not starve myself but ate fresh and healthy food including some meat and treats--no special low carb, or other type diet. I have two knee replacements and can only ride my bike for exercise--no jogging, walking, elliptical--have to keep it to non-weight bearing exercise. I lost the 22 pounds without extreme measures of any sort. I wasn't morbidly obese which generally allows much larger weight losses at the beginning, just heavy, so this weight loss is doable for almost anyone. My cholesterol came down 28 points and my joints feel much better--plus looking better gives even an old lady a lift! If you're older--or any age and don't care for digital tracking--GIVE THIS JOURNAL A TRY!

Fantastic Way to Kickstart or Maintain a Lifestyle Change
I bought this item after getting one at a discounted price through a subscription box. This is my second one and I'll likely buy another one before I finish using this one. This is a great way to either "kickstart" a lifestyle change or re-dedicate yourself to an existing healthy lifestyle. I have lost 18 1/2 pounds in the past 10 weeks. I still have a long way to go, but this item has helped me focus on what I eat, when I eat it, and how it the meals make me feel. I have to say that I adapted part of the book to fit the "points" system used by a weight loss company instead of the servings shown in the daily tracker section. This helps me stay accountable and focused on today's goal instead of how far I have to go. Each day, there is a section for you to handwrite your own motivational statement. Mine is usually something like: I'm going to get through today by making the right choices. I admit that my motivational statements in the beginning were more like, "I'm going to make it to the next meal without sabotaging myself," but looking through the past journal has really helped me identify the times of day that I struggle most and with the changes that I need to see on a daily basis. In a digital world, it's really helpful to see something that is portable, convenient, and inconspicuous to carry around in my purse as a reminder of the changes that I'm trying to make. This does not promote a fad diet lifestyle and can transition nicely to the company's 12-week fitness trackers. I highly recommend this product to anyone who wants to make a change towards a healthier weight. The best part is that they recommend only trying to lose 5 pounds every 6 weeks, which has been shown in studies to promote better long-term weight loss than quick fix diets.

Hands down, this is THE best tool I have in my arsenal toward acheiving better health!
I've used a lot of fitness journals over the years and this is HANDS DOWN the best one I've ever used! It makes daily tracking so easy and gives you plenty of room to write while still keeping the journal small enough that it's easy to carry around. The paper is smooth and lots of pens write well on it (something I really appreciate!), it lies flat and is sturdy because of the hard cover and elastic band you can use to keep it closed. There are places each week to go over your progress and plan the upcoming week and it's just enough to keep me focused and on track without being overwhelmed. I also love the tips, challenges, reminders and encouragement throughout the book! Last, I like that it's a six week book... Mentally, it's easier for me to commit to six weeks at a time than it is 3 months or 6 months like a lot of other journals, so add that to the list of things I love about it. I don't use every single aspect of the journal the way it was intended (e.g., right now, I'm focusing more on food than working out, so I sometimes use the workout section for writing a sentence or two about how I did that day), but I love the flexibility it gives to me while still providing the structure and encouragement I need for my journey toward better health. I promise - you won't be disappointed!!!

This is helping me stick to my diet
I got this book as part of an all-out plan to start a diet and do it right. I wasn't sure how useful I'd find it, but I wanted a place to take notes about how I was feeling as I did the diet. I like that there's plenty of room for setting up your goals at the beginning of the 12-week period. Not only does it prompt you for your weight goals, it also suggest you fill in "other" goals - pants size, etc. For me it was body fat, pants size, and HDL levels. You also set a weekly goal and outline your 12-week workout schedule and your weekly workout schedule. I found it really intuitive to enter in my reps and yoga classes as I did the exercises. The 2 reasons I gave this journal 4 stars and not 5 are: 1) I don't like the emphasis they have (perhaps unconsciously) put on the "typical" American weight-loss diet of "healthy whole grains," "low fat," and "eat less, exercise more," that has been proven repeatedly not to work. I'm not following that kind of diet, so I have to ignore all those sections of the journal. 2) I wish there were more space for notes and reflections on each day, and fewer little boxes to check off like servings of whole grains and hours of sleep. Overall, I'm glad I bought this little journal. It's definitely helping me stay on track and I look forward to finishing my first week so I can see if I met my goal!

It is good for a beginner to a program since it helps ...
It is small, but I expected that. It is in the description so it shouldn't be a surprise for anyone. It doesnt seem worth almost $25, but it does what it is intended to do. I think it has all the bases covered. It is good for a beginner to a program since it helps you with planning, a feature missing in every other food/nutrition diary Ive looked through both online and in the bookstore (and I looked a long time at various options). So if you are looking for detailed calorie, protein, heart rate tracking, etc it might not work for you. But I got this tonight and am already excitedly planning...this is a good tool to form a habit by making intentional choices. It helps you make goals that are specific and measureable. The only reason I gave it three stars is because about a quarter way through, some of the pages are "creased in". It was packaged nicely so I don't know if it happened during binding or in-between packaging. It is minor, but I am a neat freak and it bothers me knowing I will have to use those pages. Honestly, i will probably rip those pages out so my book can stay neat... Otherwise, it is the planning and accountability tool I was looking for. i use myfitnesspal and will use that (with fat, protein, carb features) to play around with ideas to write in the meal planning sections.

Very thorough and a great tracking system
This book is a great way to kick off a new exercise and diet routine. It starts with a few simple tips or adjustments to your regular lifestyle. Nothing drastic just easy things like 8 cups of water a day, 5 fruits and veggies, two small snacks and 3 meals, etc. The tracking is laid out in an extremely easy to follow and organized manner. Each day has a section to keep track of what you've eaten, how much sleep you got, what exercise you did, whether you completed your goal, how you did for the day, and so on. At the end of every week you do a recap over your week that lets you really see where you struggled and where you thrived. You also begin planning for the next week. You have a meal plan you write out as well as an exercise plan. For someone looking for accountability or a thorough way to track their progress this is a great book. I recommend the lite version if you are unsure of your commitment level. It's a more compact version that is a shorter time span and you can always upgrade after the 6 weeks are completed.

Let's talk a little about this amazing book!
I am loving this book! The idea of carrying a book around with me is great, I love it! We are in a time that everything is a computer, laptop, TV, cellphone etc. The fact you have to keep this book with you, open it, keep a pen, write in it and you get to read along with this book and put in a little work! I wanted to miss a teaspoon of sugar I added to my coffee and I felt bad I was about to lie to myself so I went back and put it down for that day. This book makes you hold yourself accountable and is wonderful for anyone wanting to stay fit, get fit or just see what they are putting in your mouth all day every day!. I got this book to lose the weight I put on last year (2017) and it's time to get myself together and stop being lazy and learn to "Eat to live not live to eat"! Give this book a real try and lets all get into our healthy mind, body and soul this 2018 together.

Nice tool to help you reach your goals
I have been using the Fitbook for about 2 weeks now and I think it is a fantastic product. No fitness journal is going to magically make you lose weight, but if you have the motivation, I believe it is a great tool to help you keep track of what you are doing and to help keep yourself in check. The first thing I noticed about the Fitbook is how it is organized, and with it you have the capability to track a wealth of personal fitness information. With this product you can track all types of workout info, what you are eating, sleep, water consumption, as well as your overall progress over a 12 week period. Every week you set new goals in an effort to reach the overall goals set at the very beginning. Often in weight loss I think people can get frustrated because things are not happening as quickly as they would hope, I think this book helps with that problem, as it helps you take things one week at a time. There are a few things I don't like about this book. First, it kind of forces you to start on a Monday. Although on each individual day page, you circle what day of the week it is, on the weekly plan page, the days are filled in for you. Certainly, you could still plan your week, but things would be out of order. I think it would be better to let the person using the book fill in the days of the week on the weekly plan page. I think it would add to the overall versatility of this book as some people might want to start on another day for whatever reason. I also don't like the use of the food pyramid as a way to track food. I think if I ate every recommended serving of every type of food, I would be gaining weight. Again you don't have to use this book completely, but I would prefer just having check boxes for what types of food you have eaten, without the recommendations as there are so many diets out there, and everyone is doing something different. Regardless of these minor complaints, I would greatly recommend the Fitbook for anyone who is looking for a great way to track their fitness over time.

Not worth the price
This is too small to really write anything in and certainly not worth the cost. Very disappointed.

Interessante
