I had high hopes for these shelf brackets and at first I was impressed, but unfortunately this product is subpar in several ways. The elbows and mounting flanges are sturdy enough and the pipes are thin but adequate, but this finish is weak and flaked off in places. The supplied wall anchors are useless and the supplied screws do not in anyway expand the anchors and do not tighten enough to be effective. This is not user error. I went to a hardware store and purchased proper anchors. The biggest issue is that the brackets are not at a 90 degree angle. This means that the shelf sits at an angle and is not level. This is a deal breaker. I would return this product but that would mean removing it from the wall leaving holes in the drywall that I would then have to patch. I gave it 2 starts because they were cheap and all the parts were there. It is what it is.... but I cannot recommend this product in any way.

I'm in the process of remodeling my home office and bought these for a decorative shelf to bring in more of that Gothic/French look into the space. These pipes are heavier duty than I imagined they'd be for the price and easily support a solid 6+ foot long piece of Oak. I don't think drywall alone would be strong enough to support these, but being directly drilled into the studs with 2.5 inch screws works like a charm. I imagine if you don't care about level and even spacing these are easy to just throw up on the wall and install, but for the average person with no real experience with power tools, these take a little more math to use. I did knock off a star because I had to use my own hardware to install them and because the paint chips if you screw them too tightly. But overall, they look fantastic up and really tie everything together.

I have built shelves like this with piping from Home Depot. Extremely heavy duty and support what I need. Then I saw that this set was being sold on Amazon and decided to give it a try. These are REALLY amazing. This is a way better option if this is the look you are going for. I took some 1x8s and cut them to length then stained them and they match the other shelves I built. I would highly recommend these over the stuff you get at home depot, you will save and they are just as strong when it comes to storing things on shelves.

You would think a basic pipe elbow bracket would be 90 degrees and hold your shelf level...you would be wrong. Once all connected the angle was more like 95 degrees so shelf tilts. Yes I checked the wall and shelf for level.

Love these! Remodeling my kitchen, these fit the industrial/farmhouse design I wanted. I did use different screws and can say take your time when installing, install straight post 1st, then elbow & riser pipe, so you can play around with the threads, so that your final product is even! I am actually buying another pack now, since I used an extra on a shelf I knew would have extra weight.I have NO idea WHY my photo is UPSIDE DOWN!They were easy to work with, just time consuming...
