I absolutely love this stuff!!!!!....have like 30 pkgs at home in case of an emergency or 'ready to go' for a camping trip.......I even make it when I'm feeling lazy!.........and yes, to each their own.BUT 'jagaloon' takes waaay too long to deliver this! Try REI or elsewhere in order to get it sooner.Basically, it took so long to receive that I forgot that I ordered it!.....really, find (or choose here) another vendor here (or elsewhere) to take care of you.LOVE of this item = 18.9 STARS,Jagaloon's Service = MINUS 10 STARS....you might as well drag your butt out to your nearest outdoor store and special order even it IF they don't have it in stock.... that HAS got to be quicker than this company's arrival!!!!! :(BUT ONCE AGAIN - this meal ROCKS!!! It has rocked for years (AlpineAire purchased the old company). It WILL FULFILL you....... and I am a meat & potatoes kind of gal when it comes to feeling full, satisfied, and protein-enriched. I don't do veggie/vegan or the likes of when it comes to a full day of backpacking.....I'm sooo starved that THIS is pretty much my mainstay on most trails (until I actually need actual meat in my meal).If you are like me craving for REAL food at the end of a long day in the backcountry ----- screw the vegan, veggie folk reviews...... JUST KNOW THAT THIS IS REAL FOOD :)))).....just perhaps add a few 'meat meals' along the way. Other than that, the protein in this truly works wonders, let alone satisfies :).........not to mention that this is prob as close to mexican as you can get on the trail :)Buy elsewhere! You will receive quicker most likely.Additionally, give a pkg or two a try....... as picky as I am.... I don't think you'll be disappointed!I've tried to stop leaving review because each&every company slowly raises their prices when reviewed 'well'...... BUT REALLY, this is worth your cost at the end of any day on the trail!!

We OvaEasy eggs to the cheese enchilada and have it for breakfast. For 4 people, one -2 serving package plus 6 to 8 egg crystals makes about as good a backpacking egg breakfast as there is. Another tip... I remove it from the original packaging and put it into ziplock bags to fit more compactly into the bear vaults. With all the freeze dried meals out of the original packaging, we can fit a lot more food into the bear vaults.

As a veteran and prepper I'm always on the look out for new product. I stumbled on this by accident, but simply put it is delicious. Out in the field I had it plane, at home I added sour cream and Taco Bell sauce. Great product, 5 stars.

I prefer Mary James/Packit Gourmet and Mountain House over this.

Literally the best flavor they make. I love this stuff. Great for camping.

This one tastes great immediately after you buy it, but after a few years the corn chips get rancid, making it almost inedible. Highly recommended if you eat fresh, much like many Pack-It Gourmet items.
