Works. rubber pads were off upon arrival. Stuck Chicago screws are UNSTUCK
I've seen the reviews complaining that the rubber pads on the jaws were rolling around in the bag. OK. Absolutely true. That happened to me. They arrived already off. They are cheap rubber with inadequate glue. I agree. I'm over it. I put a piece of bicycle tube over the flat side and used the O-ring on the other side. I think I read that in another review somewhere. Worked perfectly. The Jaws were the perfect size and clamping the vice grip shut made it very easy to unscrew the stuck Chicago screw and post in my leather belts and other leather goods. Maybe I should have taken off a star for the cheap glue used to stick the rubber pads, but I am so happy to be able to unstick those screws, a little hillbilly engineering doesn't bother me at all. If that is too much for you, then maybe you shouldn't buy these. The rubber pads most likely will arrive loose in the bag.

I give it a zero if I could but Weaver will replace it
The media could not be loaded. I used this product only one time to remove 3 screws. Got the first two out okay but by the third screw, one of the pads fell off. It was so bad that I couldn't even get out the fourth screw. The thin, cheap, inefficient double-sided adhesive used to connect the pads to the tool has completely disintegrated so that the pads no longer hold the screw inert. I called the company directly because I was out of the time period for returns. The company will be sending me a new tool so I will see how that goes.

Arrived 'broken'
Rubber pieces had fallen off in package due to poor quality glue. Once I reattached with good glue they are fine.

You have to be kidding me
The rubber pads came off almost immediatley... WITHOUT EVEN BEING USED! They just fell off. How does someone sell merchandise like this. Otherwise, the product works okay altought the open end is not particularly wide so may be limiting for use. And the piece is unnecessarily thick so you need good lighting to see what you are doing with the screw driver. It does feel solid so it should last... ONCE YOU REPAIR A BRAND NEW PRODUCT THAT YOU HAVEN'T EVEN USED YET!

Rubber Grips Fall Off IMMEDIATELY!!???!!
Handy tool, but both rubber grip pads fell off IMMEDIATELY. No use in returning it, because other reviewers say the same thing, so I assume they are ALL like this. Glued on with E6000 which should hold them on until they fall off again!! Big tube for $3.57 on Amazon should keep me in business for a while!! 🤔 Good thing the tool is for occasional use only. The tool works well, except for the design flaw with the pads. I've seen another similar tool with a snap in pad, but no locking mechanism, so this one is still my choice because of that feature. Good enough for non-commercial use.

It's a tool and it does the job
Expensive - and worth it. Chicago screws can be very difficult to get properly tightened and then if you do get them really tight, they can be very difficult to loosen back up without damaging the leather or the screws. This tool works exactly as it should.

Run away. Close this window and look for another solution.
Yes, the rubber came off. I knew this going in, so i planned to place the rubber on b y hand and sort of jiggle it together.A pain, but ok.The problem is that even when squeezed down so hard that the leather takes over a half-hour to decompress... the screw spins. So basicallly, I could just hold it in my fingers and screw it down just as effectively.Less than worthless. Since I used loctite, game over. The only good thing I can say is that it I returned it and got my money back.

Did the job - cabrats
The solid rubber piece was not attached to the tool. A quick dab of barge cement, and letting it dry overnight fixed that.I needed to remove two Chicago screws from a Kydex holster which had threadlocker on them so they just spun when I turned the external screw. As you can see from the photos, the tool didn’t quite fit. I removed the retention screw so that I could open up the holster and the tool was able to slip inside.I wish they had one with a smaller arm on the solid rubber side but it served its purpose.

Works ok. Needs a bit more quality steel material maybe stainless steel, Brass .
Used to do leather work. Need more attention to quality. Even if it was selling for a higher price.Would not call it a professional quality tool.
