Generator Interlock Kit Compatible with GE Vertical Main 150 and 200 AMP Panels, for Safe Usage of Portable Power During Outage

It works as advertised.

Very necessary and comes with all tools to install.

I have a GE load center (breaker box) that uses very thin breakers. About half the size of typical. So the vertical arm on the interlock had to be cut shorter by maybe 3/8” to 1/2” so that it would not block an additional breaker other than the generator breaker. I also put the bottom plate on the back of the faceplate to make the top piece of aluminum (the one doing the work or executing the interlock function) operate much closer to the outside surface of the panel plate. If the lower aluminum piece had been installed as directed (as I read the instructions) the upper aluminum piece would slide over top of the breaker flip switches and would not have prevented power from grid and generator from simultaneously powering the panel. Maybe the way I installed it was the mfgr’s intent, and maybe I read the instructions incorrectly. Or maybe my box is weirdly shaped. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY AND MAKE SURE THE INTERLOCK FUNCTION WORKS!

Backup generator

Directions were a little lacking and the printed QR code link was broken so I could not get more instruction online.Built well and overall pretty simple. Can be reversed for use on opposite side in some cases. Good product at 1/3 the cost of the original manufacturer.

Perfect fit for my GE power panel. Easy to install and there is absolutely no way to back feed power with this properly installed.

Nice finish and perfect fit. Set of warning labels and start up instructions are very clear.
