Great elastic band for my sewing projects,

I used this to add a gusset to a pair of half-chaps for mule riding so that they fit more easily over pant legs. Easy to sew, and appears to be durable and was the perfect thing for the job.

The material is soft and stretchy. I like that it stretches evenly across the width of it without saggy spots. Once cut, it does fray quickly. You can either hem it, and elastic can be tricky using a surger. Or use a match and run the edge very quickly over the flame. Be careful, it does catch a flame, and you will need to blow it out if it does.

I have bought this multiple times for sewing projects. I’ve used it for waistbands in children’s and adult clothing. It holds very well.

When used in a waistband, the elastic is sturdy and thick so it doesn't lose its shape or curl like others. It was perfect for my needs. Highly recommend.
