The Raven 7 x 8 Tent- SST, Catoma Review: I like the quality of the tent - I like the quality of the tent.I like the stand up room and the ease of set up.I have a smaller version of this tent and it has been on many camping trips and it has held up well.I am getting older and I needed the stand up room and no hassle set up. Review: Steep sides are an excellent feature !! Three poles....excellent !! - Here's why : more usable space for such a small tent . Also : since heat rises - a tall tent will be cooler . Body heat will rise to the top , and then exit via the high door. So on those hot summer nights , the inside will be cooler than a shorter tent would be . Another plus, if you camp really late in the season, is this : a steep sided tent like this one will shed snow ( the sticky , heavy, first snowfalls of the season are the worst ) Not much will accumulate on top . This is important : it doesn't take much to collapse most tents. The measurement of 48 inches must be each side of the six sides : that means there are 3 poles......good feature; it makes the tent stronger, more wind resistant ( also rounder, no square sides presented to the wind) Also stronger against snowfall .
