Neoprene Dumbbell (1-Pound, Pink)

These cute little weights were purchased for my mom who is losing strength. She started out with these one pounders and as she got stronger, she was able to hold both in one hand. They are small, cute, comfortable and very portable. Did what we wanted it to do.

I opened the package and...only ONE dumbbell. If the description/title would have been more up front about this, I would not have wasted my money. My mistake, it does say 'Sold as each' in the very last sentence of the product description. Funny that the section 'Products sold from external websites' shows products where upfront it says in bold letters "SOLD INDIVIDUALLY". That would have been helpful on this page. Ten dollars for ONE 1-pound weight seems very excessive. Since you usually use them as a set, I assumed that's how they were sold.. $10 for ONE weight?? Really? I feel very much scammed and certainly do not want to waste another 10 dollars on ONE 1-pound weight...so what to do?Wish I had read the most recent review...

This items is very small but just what I need as a beginner...however the shipping package included a warning regarding a cancerwarning no details of how or why...I think it is prohibited in California. This is just a friendly warning for consumer.

It weighs a pound. Good for lifting, if you can't lift much. I got it for rehab on my shoulder. The price is right!

I bought these for an aerobic class I lead. The students [in their 60s and 70s] were requesting a more vigorous workout. They're ANIMALS, I tell you! I purchased these one pound weights and have ordered two pounders as well. They arrived quickly, and are a big hit with the class. The weights are comfortable to hold, and the students use them while going through the aerobic part of our exercises. Many of them have said that they feel like they've stepped up a notch in the workout by using them.Depending on your fitness level, these will add a little something to your walk or workout. Personally, I like 2 pounds. I experimented with 3 pound weights during aerobics, but it was a little straining to be swinging and punching an extra 3 pounds on each arm.Note that these are sold individually!

coating on barbell is great. I had to start very light to work my way up so they aren't getting used much now. They are easy to grip and a happy color.

I bought the 1 pound dumbbell as an add-on iterm. They are really cheap and they are too light for me. I will choose some heavier ones sooner or later.

I purchased these for my 81 year old grandmother to build up arm strength after surgery. She can lift these and do a variety of exercises with them. The neoprene is comfortable and provides a good grip. I'm not sure I'd recommend this weight to anyone who isn't rehabbing or elderly, but it's well made and perfectly suited for those two groups.
