I don't understand your question; what do you mean by "tanned out"? Anyway, without knowing the size of the candy bar mold you have, there's no way to answer that question. I suggest you measure a candy bar you make; then you'll know exactly how large a bag to get . . . usually you just need to add a fraction of an inch or a few millimeters to the measured size, just so there's some "wiggle room," to be able to get the bar in and out.

how many ounces of chocolate do i need to fill a bar

I just weighed 2 bars I made, one in each of two different molds. Both weighed 3 1/2 ounces. You need a bit more of the chocolate or candy melts to melt down, because it will be hard to get every last drop from the bowl of melted chocolate into the mold itself.

Is it possible to purchase just the molds from you rather than the whole kit? I like the molds but have no need for the labels or wrappers
