It’s good adhesive for foiling and guilding. It dries clear and tacky, so it’s the perfect surface for metal leaf

Good adhesion, but...
It's just too thick. This must be thinned or you'll never get a smooth leaf adhesion. It'll definitely show through with brush marks.
