Great soldering project, nice clock
This is a great little soldering project and a nice clock. The documentation of the different steps is very thorough, if a bit confusing in a few places. But if you have any experience soldering, you'll be able to do it. This is a better project than the "full" version, because assembling the case is less fiddly (and it's cheaper too). The resulting open back and slanted face also look better than the box you get with the other one, IMHO. And if you actually want to hack it, you have much better access than with the closed back on the other one.

Fun project, nice looking, but very imprecise
Building it is fun, great instructions. The clock looks great. However, it is VERY imprecise, it has run 5 minutes fast in a month, which is quite unacceptable... my mechanical watch is more precise than this.
