It insulates the heat better than any other glove or potholder on the market. It cleans with a bit of soap and water and dries quickly. It seems exceptionally durable. There are two sizes. One is smaller than a normal potholder and one is larger. You probably want both. If you are used to the common potholder size you may find this a bit strange at first, but when you use it a bit you will find the small one doesn't get in the way as much and the large one is great for large things. It it a tiny bit stiffer than a normal potholder, because it is better insulated, But it still bends easily.I don't find myself running to put down a baking dish that is straight from the oven because the pot holder is getting very hot and I had better put that dish down or I will be burned. Even silicon and Kevlar gloves are not as good.

These are AWESOME! I wish I had discovered them earlier in my life. All the other hot pads I've used, I pick up something and after about ten seconds I'm trying to figure out where to set it down immediately. With these I can pick up something really hot with a lot of mass and hold it as long as I like. Plus, you can simply rinse it off and it doesn't soak up any water. These are 10 times better than any hot pads I've used before.

This is a very good item if you heat foods in the microwave that also heat up your bowls and dishes. These are used by professional chefs , are durable, easy to clean, and work much better than bulky mitts.

We live in a log cabin in NC during the desirable season, but we have little room in our kitchen, so when I saw this recommended at Americas Test Kitchen I thought I'd give it a try. It work very well for turning hot baking pans in the oven or picking hot items up with one hand.I like it so well that I will get another one so I'll have a pair and toss my inefficient setI'd recommend buying them and if you have more room than me, I'd go with the next larger size.

This 5- inch pot holder is a tiny version of the standard 7-inch model available from restaurant supply companies. The grip, thermal insulation, and easy cleaning are the same. It would be great for people with doll size handsI only wish the eller offered the standard size. I bought this tiny version not noticing the diensions

These replaced more traditional fabric "hot pads" for taking hot pans from the oven. The flexibility and the size options mean you're less likely to stick the corner into a hot and tender cookie at the edge of a pan and they definitely protect you from the heat. They can be rinsed in the sink or washed in the washer with kitchen towels. Very nice product.

It is a tiny bit small but is great for insulating from heat, can use as counter trivet too. May want 2 for larger casserole dishes
