RealWheels RW310-25BP-J Black Powder Coated 2.5" Stainless Steel Pre-Runner Bar with Light Mounts for Jeep Wrangler

Overview: Truly "bolt-on" installation (apart from having to trim the upper OEM plastic air dam as directed. No modification to any metal part of the Jeep or kit was needed. My bar arrived covered in what I thought was fine black sand, but was actually metal file shavings. I wiped them off with a damp paper towel, a minor annoyance. There was some slight scuffing on the top side of the bar, which is only cosmetic and very minor and not bothersome. (It's a working Jeep after all, not a mall crawler.)Other reviews have mentioned the included instructions are out of date (e.g., they show installation on JKs only up to 2007) and this is true. My Jeep JKU is a 2017 and the "newer-style" brackets that came with this kit had three threaded holes (as opposed to the pictured two in the instruction sheet) that easily accommodated the later JK models.Installation: I was able to undo the plastic screws and pull out the upper air dam without having to remove the grille. I just muscled it out one of the sides, bending and shimming as I went. Everything bolted on great, though one warning: do not over-tighten the bolts securing the bar to the brackets. The welds that hold the threaded part on the bar don't look that robust and it's possible over-tightening may break the welds loose. Your milage may vary.Once mounted, it was surprisingly sturdy. A test drive at highway speeds revealed no loosening or detectible oscillations. I did note the bars do partially block the factory headlamp light at the very far periphery. A slight shadow created by the bar on either side is slight. After a while driving, I barely noticed it though it is worth mentioning. The tabs for the lights are also surprisingly sturdy. Note, the yellow lights shown are the "OEDRO 7 Inch 51W LED" lights available on Amazon.

I love the look and thickness. All the other ones out there look puny compared to this. This is our second one we bought. One for my old JK, and now for my JL. It is not a perfect fit for the JL jeep. I was able to make it work. The frame is the same width, but the bolt holes don't all line up.

Looks bad a** on the Jeep. Instructions could have been better. They were for 2007 need to be updated for newer models with better photos in color. Although the description states no drilling required the plastic filler plate between the bumper and the grill has to be cut to install the brackets.I didn't want to install any lights on the bar so I cut off the light brackets, grinded the weld smooth and sprayed just the area cut with powercoat paint. The welds are on the underside of the bar so you can see them anyway. I also didn't want to cut the ends off the plastic filler plate so I cut channels in the filler plate for the brackets to slide thru. One tip, when removing the plastic filler plate do not try to unscrew the two plastic fasteners . The plastic is very soft and will only strip the screw head. Instead carefully pry the fastener up with a thin flat head screw driver around the outer circle. Try not to damage. Once out you can removed the screw and re-insert when reassembling. The plastic fasteners securing the grill came out very easily by prying the inner circle of the fastener up with a thin flat head screw driver

This is by far the best bolt on bar you can get. AMERICAN MADE!!! It fit perfect in the factory holes with no drilling. Took me 45min to install. Tricky to get the bolts lined up from bracket to bar. I had to loosen it all to 1-2 threads to allow enough play to start the bolts into the bar. After install it is solid as a rock with no deflection. The larger size is much tougher looking. The fact it is stainless is great. Holds my KC lights perfect. Great way to get a HD bumper look without adding 150# to the front end.

Very happy with the appearence and fit of this product. The 2.5" tubing is beefier and more agressive looking than the other light bars that are thinner. Also, it bolts up without having to relocate the vaccum pump like with some bars. The only draw back is due to the location of the light mount tabs the lights have to mounted on the underside of the bar rather than having the flexible option of top or bottom. I wanted mine on the underside so it was fine, but if you want them on top, the lights may need to be raised up to properly clear the bar. Great overall product.

Fits perfectly on 2018 Jeep Wrangler JK Rubicon. Looks very nice. Instructions are a little old and dated (as others have stated). Note that I had to drill out the plastic screws on the upper air dam in order to remove them (they could not be successfully unscrewed as stated in the instructions). I replaced them with Mopar 6502625.Additionally, I did not need to remove the two bumper screws in order to install this item (like the instructions state). Only the grill and upper air dam need to be removed for installation.

Item arrived ontime, great quality bar, comes with light bar tab, you can actually fit a 12" light bar on the bar or a 20" light bar with adjustable mounts of 12", powdercoat on it will give you confidence that the bar will not rust on you, installation is a breeze, just make sure you read the instructions on cutting the plastic panel, and with the newer brackets you just bolt on, no more nuts for your screws. Highly refer this to anyone that doesn't need the steel bumper

I absolutely love this light bar. Makes the front of the jeep look tough and fits with the oem bumper. No need to relocate the vacuum pump, just take of the grill, the filler plate above the bumper, throw two mounting brackets in, cut the filler plate down, put the filler plate and grill back on and screw in the bar. Easy as that. High quality product made in the USA. I'd buy again and again.
