1001 Pediatric Treatment Activities: Creative Ideas for Therapy Sessions

I bought this book thinking that it would be great to have some new ideas for therapy treatment activities. I was right....that is exactly what this book does. I have shared it with my colleagues at work and we are all amazed at how simple some of the ideas presented in the book are, and thought..."why didn't we ever think of that". It's great to add some new and fun activities so that we, and the children we serve, don't get bored!

I was looking for a book for some creative things to do with the kids in my physical therapy sessions. This one has some ideas, but I feel they are fairly basic and not particularly creative, at least for the gross motor physical therapy activities. The occupational therapy and speech therapy activities appear to be a little more exciting.

Great helpful book. My wife will be using this for her field work coming up this summer. She seems to really like it and says it has lots of useful information and tips for the job. Would recommend.

I love this book because it is so easy to read and provides so many great ideas with the actual pictues and not just an illustration. It has helped me so much with new ideas to carry through in my Occupational Therapy treatments and is the only book I now use!

I use this book a lot!!! The step by step how to photos are incredibly helpful for me as a parent. We use this to supplement PT at home. Our physical and occupational therapists both approved it for our use at home. Wish I could find other books like it!

This book has a great list of various treatment ideas and approaches. However there were not many treatments out of the ordinary and many of these are used often in a PEDs setting but if you are new to Therapy or Peds and want ideas it is great.

This book helped my greatly in my pediatric level 2 fieldwork in Occupational Therapy. It gave me creative ideas and had great visuals and explanations. I would highly recommened this book to anyone who is working with children to keep idea fresh, exciting and motivating.

I've used this book many times while in OTA school. It's not just for Pediatric patients. You can go through the book and revise some of the activities, to use with the Mental Health or Geriatric patient.

Very handy for first time therapists in the field and needing a little assistance in planning activities to get started.
