This worked on a rust bucket car when the cheap tool didn't.
This tool did a very tough job. My car is up in age and is at that point when even simple stuff is challenging due to rust/age and adds time and complexity to the job. I first tried a sub $20 clamp style tool, which just slipped. I could have tightened the clamp more and gave it another try (and I did but not again a 3rd time), but due to the off centered nature of that clamp style tool I felt it was better ponying up the money for a tool that I can turn from the centerline instead of offset. I'm glad I didn't try to go further with the clamp style, and I waited for this one. It had the size I needed and made a good connection (have to lock it in place and pull back when turning). It tool quite a bit of force with a cheater bar but the tie rod end came out. I feel being able to turn it in line with the center of rotation helped a lot, and the length of it put it in a good position to turn. I can't see the clamp style working with the amount of force I needed, but who knows. On the other hand it is quite a bit up in price compared to other similar styles which I may have tried if it was not for the clamp style not working, but I do feel this one is quality and it is solid.

Just didn't like the case, for the most part.
I've seen the various kits owned by other people, and for the most part the cases they had made it easier to organize the crows foot adapters by giving them their own labeled slot. This case they are all just stuck together in a line, which would make it harder to find the right one without resorting to pulling them all out at once, and either way they were all just bunched together. The storage spot of the adapters also made it so the case had to be longer, which made it impossible to fit in any of my toolbox drawers except my top long drawer. I needed a kit that would fit in my other drawers. Also not really a big fan of Lime green, sorry OEM tools :) But if you can look past that, its a tool that would work out just fine. Just don't use an impact: none of these are really made for that, and tie rods shouldn't be on THAT tight to begin with.

A little tip to help the next person.
First I want to start off I don't do reviews but I felt this time it needed to be done only to hopefully pass on useful information to someone who's going to use the tool. I stumbled upon the best way to use this tool, once you put the wrench on the inner tie rod you'll want to reach in and hold the back side of it in place while you place the tube over the inner tie rod get the two notches lined up slide the tube into place with The Notches lined up you can now grab the little keeper tab on the tube slide it over which locks the wrench in the tube whatever you do do not push forward always keep slight resistance pulled back to you which keeps the wrench tightly in place on the tube. The first one I did I didn't realize what was going on but it would not take much to push forward and the wrench would fall off and you would have to take it completely apart and get it all set up again that being said the second one I did I kept constant tension pulled towards me and the tool held perfectly in place nice and tight I hope that helps people the tool worked great once I figured that out.

Worth the money if you’re a DIY person
Bought this set to do the tie rods on my Odyssey. Did the job well. Will be around for the next time one of my vehicles needs the same repair. Worth the small investment when compared to the $800 quote I got from the local shop.

Don’t bother
While the packaging and appearance of the tool look good, the crow’s feet are cheaply made and the tool is generally useless. I used it to replace the inner tie rods on a 2022 jeep grand Cherokee. Using the only crow’s foot that fit, the tool expanded at around 40 ft lbs and rounded off the edges of the tie rod. Luckily I was able to use a large crescent wrench to remove it. Same thing on install of the new tie rod. Torque spec is 68ft lbs but crow’s foot failed around 40. I’ll be returning this thing. With heavier crow’s feet it would have been fine, but the one’s it ships with are junk.

awesome multi tool tie rod removal install
So far I have used this on a silverado 2500, yaris, ford 250 and it has dropped my time to change a tie rod by a ridiculous ammount. My yaris was the hardest and least ammount of space. Had to take my whole sub frame off to get my tie rod off. Went to les shwabb and had them do an alignment and they said 1 was loose (I forgot to put red thread lock in it and got loose) got charged labor and saw them use that long tube to take it off and started researching what it was. Found this and has been amazing since. Next project is yukon.

Excelente herramienta

Quality item
Used for the first time on a car and love the tools easy to use design. Great quality and finish and I love the case it came in. Can’t mistake what it is or have it get lost in the shop with all other cases due to the bright Color. Easy to clean after use too.
