I bought this amp to replace an ageing Arcam A85 diva, I moved my Arcam amp and Arcam cd player to another room just for music listening.I love the sound quality that this amp produces, warm rich tones, deep bass levels, and precise treble and vocal capabilities, perhaps a tad bright on certain types of music, but for my usual genre of music being jazz funk, or jazz and soul, then this amp suits my taste, lots of connection options, easy to use Bluetooth, found my phone easily and quickly. I only dropped it a star for the lack of a digital coax or digital optical connectors on the back, I usually like to connect my CD player by coax, but my Yamaha CDX-750e works fine using rca phono leads. It also linked up my Samsung Oled UHD television easily, which vastly improved the sound quality of films and tv shows.A great buy for the price.

I've had a Yamaha receiver prior to this 'aiwa' system. I have to say, this 'aiwa' produces a far more 'brighter' sound due to the better mid-range frequencies. I don't need to adjust the treble and bass for classical and chart music. This produces all the right frequencies through my Yamaha nsf51 floor standers. It has a good deep bass range along with a good range of treble. The music sounds more 'alive'. while giving a rich, warm sound. It also has a 'loudness' button as a further option but, I find I don't need to use this. Playback through the U.S.B port is really good. The only problem being it doesn't facilitate accessing music files. You can only scan through tracks on the drive. B.T. is very easy to connect. it picked-up my phone immediately. I now use this 'aiwa' to play the tuner facility on my Yamaha receiver! This is a very good purchase and is not at all cheap looking. The white illumination is subtle and not obtrusive. a lovely piece of kit.

If you like cheap looking amps this is the one . If they knocked off the lights just gave it a stand by light it wouldnt look so cheap . Also switch at the back on off . The lights put me off main display very bright also power button lit up also.
