I got this air purifier for my bedroom. My dog has a very severe dust mite allergy. He was literally disintegrating. His hair was falling out and his dandruff was like a blizzard. He had full body yeast and it smelled like a dirty gym sock on steroids. Despite having no carpet, rugs and bedding that are washed weekly, and dust mite covers on both of our beds, he was still miserable. He is so allergic that out of desperation I'm trying everything I possibly can to minimize his exposure while his immunotherapy does its job. The vet said that short of having hospital level air purification I would never get rid of all the dust mites, but I can limit his exposure with air purifiers, so we are giving it a try. There's no way I can accurately gauge how much this air purifier is reducing the dust mites, but it has to be better than it was before I got it. My dog gets 3 medicated baths a week and is about to start immunotherapy, so I can't really credit any progress to the air purifier alone, but there is no doubt it will help reduce the total number of dust mites he is exposed to. I also got a larger air purifier for my living room/kitchen. I live in a camper currently as I recently moved and am building a home. Since we live in cramped quarters with less ventilation than a sticks and bricks home, the dust mites and other allergens are far more concentrated. I've noticed since having these two purifiers running that our home smells fresher and cleaner, any smells do not linger. I've tried my hardest to deep clean any dust collected around the house in all the little nooks and crannies that you can't see and hopefully the purifiers will help keep that to a minimum. For some reason even in the dead of winter we seem to have a lot of dust. Again, probably because the space is so small. It seems the smaller the space, the bigger the mess! Thankfully it doesn't take as long to clean a smaller space. I'm not sure if I'll ever really know how effective these are, but I can say I've noticed a big difference since I got them in the quality of the air. We have wood heat so there's not a furnace constantly blowing air around. They provide air flow in what used to be pretty stagnant areas in the winter when the a/c isn't running. The stinky sock yeasty dog smell has been reduced quite a bit, and any other lingering smells like cooking or flatulence from my gassy teenager don't tend to hang around as long lol. So they have been a win-win! They seem to work very well. I don't use the timer features because I let them both run 24/7, but it's nice to have that as an option if it's ever needed. I really appreciate the small footprint of this purifier because there's not much room in a camper. I have it on my bedside table. You can see in the picture about how big it is next to my 40oz swig. Even on high it's very quiet, but I'm one of those "can't sleep without a fan" people so I enjoy the sound lol. Between this and the fan at the foot of my bed pushing air towards it, our air in the bedroom ought to be squeaky clean!

I have been very pleased with this air purifier. It's VERY quiet (even on the high setting) and seems to do a good job of filtering the air. I also like the very clever, pop-out, little tray for holding foam pieces that you can put scented oils on. It's light and seems VERY well-constructed. It's also quick and easy to replace the filter. About the filter...It's easy to visually see when you need to replace the filter. You can see the inner filtering material through the mesh that surrounds the outside of the filter. That inner filtering material is a White / Beige color when new. When it turns Gray...yeah, time for a new filter. And a tip about the filter...it collects dust on the outer surface. Which you can use a vacuum cleaner on to remove. Thereby extending the life of the filter a little longer. I highly recommend this unit.

Seems to do what its designed to do - suck air in the sides, filter out dust etc. and blow the clean air out the top. Good airflow and three speeds. Quiet operation. We use it in a 10x10 closet to keep dust down. But I think it'd be quiet enough in a bedroom too. Comes with a plug-in transformer and a 5 foot cord which powers the unit. Very low wattage, so you can leave it run continuously. the filter can be easily cleaned out every month, and could be replaced if needed. Nice looking well-made unit. Recommend.

I wasn’t sure how much of a difference such a small air purifier would make, but I have to say, I’m really impressed with this one. It does exactly what I wanted it to do, and I’ve been very happy with it. First of all, it’s really quiet. That was important to me because I didn’t want something that sounded like a fan running all day and night. I can have this going while I’m working, watching TV, or sleeping and barely notice it. It’s also the perfect size. It doesn’t take up much room at all, but it still feels like it’s doing a great job keeping the air fresher. I love that I can just put it on a nightstand, desk, or dresser and pretty much forget it’s there. The controls are super simple, and having three different fan speeds is nice depending on how much airflow I want. I also really like the aromatherapy feature. Adding a little essential oil is such a nice touch and makes the room smell fresh and relaxing. Another thing I appreciate is that it doesn’t feel cheap or flimsy. It has a nice clean design, works exactly like it should, and there really isn’t anything complicated about using it. For me, this is one of those purchases where I thought, "why didn’t I get one of these sooner?". If you’re looking for a small air purifier for your bedroom, office, or another smaller space, I would definitely recommend this one. It’s quiet, easy to use, doesn’t take up much space, and does exactly what it says it will do. Very happy with my purchase. Definitely 5 stars!

I love this Levoit air purifier. I use it 24 hours a day in my room which is 13x15 which is 195 sq foot. Perfect size air purifier, effective and easy to use. Filter is easy to clean, I just wipe it off gently with dry paper towel to remove larger particles like lint. It also have slot for essential oils, which I use high grade oils. It removes odors as well. I keep it in highest setting, which it does not bother me at all. I highly recommend it to everyone

Everyone and their mother has been on here eulogizing about these air purifiers so if you’re still reading reviews and have made it this far without pulling the trigger I’m not sure what could make you at this point.. but I do want to share a benefit I have experienced with this that no one mentioned and I wasn’t expecting: apparently for my whole life everywhere I’ve ever slept I end up with my nose stuffed and breathing out of my mouth at night because of it, leading to some snoring, general poor sleep quality, and a host of other terrifying dental consequences you should not Google if you currently are enjoying having a handle on your anxiety. I had NO IDEA how much I was mouth breathing all night, until I put this next to my bed and suddenly STOPPED. I didn’t need nasal strips, I didn’t need surgery, I didn’t need allergy medication and I didn’t need mouth tape. I needed my nose to not get BLOCKED every time I was horizontal for a few hours. Guys, the way my quality of sleep as SKYROCKETED. My Fitbit is giving me awards every day. I don’t wake up with a headache after sleeping for a long time anymore, which I always accepted as a normal fact about myself, but now I know was a consequence of too little oxygen for too long. Honestly I bought this hoping it might improve the air in my apartment in the cold months when I can’t air it out by opening the windows, and I was hoping it might also improve some of the kinds of smells that linger by association, and it did, but not how I expected. You’ll just have to do your best to imagine the difference in the air quality in a room someone was mouth breathing in for 8 hours with the door closed… before and after…. All I can say is the level of carbon dioxide expelled would be extreme 😭. So ultimately this thing not only cleared the air, it prevented me from making it worse every night. One more time: I wake up with both nostrils CLEAR every single morning. This has never happened in my life. When I walk in to the room where it’s been on there’s a tangible change in the feeling on my skin- it physically feels less heavy and thick, the literal particles filtered out. I’ve had it for 3 months and have not had to change the filter yet. I don’t know if it will help you the way it has helped me with this, the fact that I haven’t seen anyone talking about it makes it seem like maybe this isn’t a common experience, but i had to share because this has revolutionized my sleep more than almost anything else I’ve done and I have tried just about everything short of a cpap machine. If I turn it off for even a single night the stuffy nose comes back that same night. I’m blown away. It’s worth its weight in gold to me and if I could afford to I’d put one in every room. As soon as I come up with the savings I will do it. The only regret I have is that due to not knowing for sure if it would work, I didn’t spring for the biggest nicest one. If I could go back in time and talk to myself I would get the version with a higher capacity. For $35 I couldn’t be more impressed. I wish it did more on its lower settings, but again, that could have been helped if I had gone with the bigger one. The noise as other commenters have said is actually not a bother it is honestly more a sleep aid in its white noise generation. I turn it off for zoom calls and that’s all, then turn it right back on after. It’s also quite cooling, like you’d expect from a fan, because it is circulating air at a high efficiency, it can be chilly to sit right next to but I run cold in general. I hope this helps someone!
