Tetley USA Tata Tea Premium, Loose Leaf Black Tea, Premium Black Tea, 1kg, (Tata_2_South)

Like the title says, a really good, cheap CTC tea. Don't get me wrong, this is not amazing tea with nuance. This is a down and dirty, dark cuppa, with a fair amount of caffeine, that is very accepting of sugar, milk or creamer. I've had other India teas that are similar. Wag B something something, the big box of blue Tetley, another 2lb bag of bulk CTC from Amazon. This one is the best. Nice mouth feel, smooth, not astringent or bitter. For a wake me up morning, I use 2tsp for 2.5 min, add a Splenda and a splash of creamer. At this price, I don't mind going heavy. I'll buy again over the others. Plus, this is a solid resealable bag, much better than the others.As an added bonus, the name is fun to say. Think Job on arrested development doing the chicken dance (I think) - Ta, Ta, tata Tea!

I liked the tea even though the tea looks like small pellets instead of chopped tea leaves (which I was used to). I used a smaller amount of tea so it went further than expected. I am happy with the shipping and arrival date as well. The package was in a resealable pouch which keeps the tea fresher. This is a good idea in my book.

At 2lbs 3.3 ounces, this is a large bag of loose leaf black tea from India. The bag is resealable, which is a plus. The current price of $14.99 is also very reasonable for this. The ingredients are black tea (51% Indian tea).I steeped one teaspoon of tea in a 10-ounce mug of boiling water for four minutes. The resulting brew was a clear but deep amber hue. The taste is bold and much better than the typical Lipton black tea sold in the US. My boyfriend liked it as well. It smells fresh and tastes good enough for me to drink plain. I still like this version of their tea slightly better, but this is good as well.Overall, I like this tea and the price is reasonable. It also tastes good with milk and sugar if that is what is desired.

I am English, living in USA, and getting a decent cuppa tea is hard. I moved here 10 years ago, and i still have my Mother send me teabags from home, because there is no acceptable substitute here. I have to use two bags to get the tea to an acceptable strength that an English person likes.So i thought I’d try this Tetley, loose black tea leaves. I trusted the name, because Tetley are the brand my Mother sends me.I have a teapot, so i made a pot of tea with properly boiling water, and the colour was nice and strong, as i had hoped for, the flavour though was a little bitter, not as smooth as my regular. It would work nicely for Chai as suggested on the bag, because that’s quite creamy, and adds elements that dilute the strong flavour. I take my tea with skim milk, so flavour wise, there’s nothing much to disguise the bitterness.This will be fine when i run out of my regular teabags. It can be my emergency tea. But i probably won’t drink it every day. Also, should i wish to make a Chai Tea for my husband, because he enjoys that, then i believe this would work perfectly.

Makes great iced tea at a great price

This tea is delicious and a good stand in for PG Tips. Rich and malty flavor which is a perfect breakfast tea.

This is a straightforward and bold tea that works well as a base for chai latte or just black. It lacks much nuance that you might find in the whole-leaf Chinese teas, which is not necessarily a bad thing. I sometimes prefer a basic tea. Comparing it to PG Tips, I would probably prefer the slightly smoother British tea over this one. However, the price is great and I think you will enjoy it.
