Huge surprise
I have been suffering from neck pain for years and years. EMGS show a pinched nerve between C6 and C7 that is getting worse. The headaches resulting from that can be incapacitating. I've tried physical therapy in the past and traction but it only worsened the headaches to the point where I could barely function at all. The muscles running from neck to shoulders are so tight that they almost feel like bone. So that is the history. When I came across this pillow and saw the price, I figured "that is one co payment for physical therapy. What do I have to lose?" and ordered it. I even paid the extra for one-day shipping. If this pillow can save me from just one of those brutal headaches it's worth the price... One reviewer wrote that the muscles in her neck and shoulders are no longer tight. I know how mine feel, so I just happened to reach up and check them. THERE IS GIVE IN THE MUSCLES, THEY FEEL SOFTER! And this after only two uses? I can turn my head and tilt it further than before as well! Is this pillow comfortable from the get-go? Heck, no, But it doesn't penetrate the skin either, it just leaves round depressions that can be pretty deep. There is something about falling asleep with it, though, I've used it twice and fallen asleep almost immediately upon lying on it twice. So this can't be a coincidence. Placebo effect? I doubt it, it's not comfortable enough to "snuggle in" and let imagination take over. All I know is that this pillow has given me incredible relief in just two days. If you can tolerate a little discomfort, go for it. If you're one of those who faint at the sight of a needle, maybe not so much. I am amazed how much this pillow has achieved for me in just two days. Highly recommended if you're a chronic pain sufferer like me.

It actually works
I am a skeptic, and I couldn't believe this would be as good as everyone says it is. I've given it almost two weeks now. This helps my pain. This cray-cray pillow of (seriously) sharp needle-like plastic bits has helped me to the point that I've had about four ibuprofens in two weeks (instead of four every four hours). Full disclosure: it hurts to start out. Yes, it does. MAN the first time I used it I wondered if it was worth it. Then, about five minutes in, my neck started to warm up. Then my whole body relaxed. I can't explain this, it just worked. After fifteen minutes, I had to have help up, and then I tottered off to bed where I took a mammoth nap. After about a week of using it, it gets easier to lie on -- any pain there is is gone within 60 seconds. Then the heat starts, and then the relaxation. I'm lying on it once during the day, and just before I got to sleep, 15 minutes each time, and I'm sleeping better than I have in SO long. It has literally chased away every headache I've gotten. (It did NOT chase away the hormonal migraine I get every month, but it did help with the nausea.) I love it. Oh, that endorphin rush and the resulting warm happiness! I'm buying another one for my work locker so that if I forget it I'm not without it. Best purchase I've made in a very, very long time

Strange but true...
I wasn't sure if I should get this or the bed of nails mat. I chose this because I thought I'd use it more - it's more convenient to use while sitting at your desk or even on the sofa. Plus you can target areas easily without worrying about the 'nail' pain where you don't want it. Also, with 2 dogs, laying on the floor on a bed of nails with them jumping on me wasn't enticing... It is really strange, but it does seem to release muscle tension. I used it first on my neck (I have chronic neck/shoulder/back issues), and it hurt a little at first, but didn't last long and I found myself pushing into it after the first 5 minutes to get it to go deeper. When I was done, my neck felt like all the pressure was released. Then I moved on to my back, shoulders etc - same experience. The only time it really hurt was when I put it directly across my shoulder blades - all the other times it wasn't so bad. All in all I'd say it was worth it and I do plan to keep using it. I don't know if I'll ever get the mat - but for whatever reason, this does seem to work as claimed!

Helps reduce pain
I use the pad more often than this pillow, which is actually too high/thick for my neck. When my back REALLY hurts, I can use this; it hurts while I'm on it, but I can get several hours with some relief from my arthritis and muscle pain, so I do use it occasionally.

Nice, odd little pillow
Does it work for migraines? That's why I use it. I don't know if it's psychological or physiological, but the thing either takes my mind off the pain for a while or it actually works. It has an honored place at my bedside and has now entered my pile of voodoo tricks to alleviate my chronic migraines. It's small and has a round side and a flat side. One of the many facets of my migraines is my inability to get my head/neck in "just the right position". This little guy can sometimes help to tremendously. My 2-year-old calls the white pin-buttons "crabs". They are hard, little circles and are about the size of a quarter. They aren't needle-sharp, but they are about like the tip of an old #2 pencil. I have fallen asleep on it before, but it have read a lot of reviews stating that it's too uncomfortable for that; to each his own, I guess.

Tolles Produkt.
