This is a brilliant product with lots of features. It's self powering therefore no wiring or batteries needed. Its very easy to assemble with a choice of fixings and lots of choices of tunes. Especially good is it uses a plug socket that also houses another electrical item. (I plugged it in the same one as my radio) - excellent use of space.The only thing you need to check before fixing into the final position is to make sure you can hear the chime in all the areas you need. In hindsight I should have bought the twin receiver set. One for indoors and the other for the garden/garage etc.Overall a highly recommendable door bell without all the security additions. Just what I was looking for.

What a brilliant doorbell, you don't need any batteries at all, you don't need wifi and you don't even need to pair it up. It works straight out of the box. It doesn't even take a plug socket up as you can plug another item in to it.You plug the chime into a plug socket, top button is for the volume, from off to loud.The bottom button is to select your doorbell chime, there are sixty to choose from some lovely ones and even seasonal ones like Christmas ones, even happy birthday, the chimes are great quality.To fix the doorbell to your door you can screw it into your door or use the double sided 3M pad which is sticky both sides.Just a tip if you use the 3m sticky pad pop out the little circles there are two. For a better fit.This doorbell is really great. So easy to setup and use.Definitely a great buy, the doorbell is well made and has a nice big button to press.The only thing I could think of to improve this doorbell is the option to buy another chime unit so you could one in the hall and one in the Living room. Especially if you have the tv on loud. I can still hear mine in the hall but it would be nice if you lived in a house you could have a chime upstairs. But that's only my opinion.Another thing I would like is a little blue light on the doorbell itself so people could see it at night. Even it used a small battery just for the light.After saying those two little improvementsI still rate this doorbell 10 out 10 it is really that good.You be pleased you brought this doorbell.

Delivered without delays.Comes with the doorbell button unit, a double-sided adhesive surface to attach it with, screws and wall plugs if installing using those (I personally couldn't figure out how those were to be used as there doesn't appear to be any openings for these in the button unit, even inside the back of the case, and the instructions weren't great on that point), instructions and the plug-in (and through) unit for the sound.Unit worked, and was easily installed using the adhesive tape.Volume is controllable (5 settings) and there are 32 "tunes" to pick from. Do be aware that these mostly sound like midi music from video games circa 1993 (which I personally enjoyed, but your mileage may vary), and that some of these are highly situational (Happy Birthday is one track, and there are about 3-4 Christmas tunes in there as well). There's also one that sounds like a traditional doorbell if that's what you're after, and another that sounds like someone knocking on a door (which is pleasingly redundant for most people).The speaker unit does flash when the doorbell is going off, but as it's a small blue light on the unit that doesn't really illuminate anything. I'm not sure it would be useful in most circumstances. If someone has hearing difficulties, I'd suggest alternate arrangements.The ability to plug in another device using the same plug socket works well.Overall, well worth the price. Only knocked off a star for the instructions regarding the screws being so abysmal, as it's going to bother me until I figure out what I was meant to do to install it like that (even though I had no intention of doing so).

I noted before buying how this item had universally good reviews. I can only say add this good review to the total. It was so easy to install. It's a mystery how the push button that is mounted in my front porch can send a signal to the base unit without it needing any batteries. I don't get that 'magic' at all it's weird. Anyhow there's a great list of ring-tones and full volume is quite loud for my wife and I to hear as we are both partially deaf. There is only one odd thing that doesn't lose it a star and that is the PUSH label made of plastic has no way of attaching to the bell-push front edge. If it was glued to the bell push it would obscure the monitor light. So I cut the PUSH section out and glued that to where it has to be pushed so that should offer no confusion. So that's it - a nice piece of kit and I have had good products from Tecknet before - my cordless mouse has gone on for years without problems. So fingers crossed so will the bell push. Oh and the bonus of a spare socket provided on the front so as not to lose a mains socket in the wall was a very nice touch. Can't say fairer than that.

The second time I have purchased this product (2 different houses). It is excellent. The bell press is large and obvious. No battery required and totally wireless. The receiver unit picks up the bell push from a good 10-15 feet away (and through a wall in the latest case). I haven’t tried it any further away. The receiver unit just plugs straight into a power socket. Plug and play, no set up necessary. Loud, distinctive and pleasant door ring sound. Plus, there is an electric socket point on top of the receiver, so you don’t lose the use of your power socket. Good durability so far (3 years + for the first unit). An excellent product.
