little bell pepper seeds
Once again Hirt's comes through with a great product. It was packaged neatly, had a product label, some planting instructions and a couple little plastic bags to use.None of the seeds were damaged and planted them in soil later the same day.I'm hoping a couple of them germinate in a couple weeks. (I only planted 5 seeds) I'm giving a couple to my friends and traded a couple for some strawberry seeds. Not sure what to do with the rest, but might plant them later.Once again very satisfied.

Biggest disappointment of the year
These were extremely slow to germinate, I was about to give up and toss the peat pots that the seeds were in in the trash and just write it off when the first pepper seedling finally made an appearance. They took nearly a month to start sprouting, and only 17 germinated. Two seedlings died within days of sprouting, two more died after transplanting. The 13 surviving plants were very slow to set fruit, 8 have yet to produce a single pepper. Also, after transplanting, some started to try to grow sideways, all have weak stems and have had to be staked so the won't fall over.Additionally, it would have been very, very helpful if the seeds had been separated rather than all mixed together. Considering that most peppers are actually picked while green (not ripe) and all of them start out green, it's going to be difficult to determine when to pick these or what colors actually managed to make it to the garden and not die. Biggest disappointment of the season, totally not worth the money and effort.

Seeds arrived on time and have germinated
Despite the pandemic, the seeds were delivered as ordered, on time, and have now germinated. I look forward to some tasty peppers in time.

Healthy Plants but don't seem to be bell peppers as advertised.
I have been growing peppers for quite some time. At first the peppers where showing bell pepper traits. Nice broad leafs and nodes looked spaced right. First set of flowers clustered in the center like bells do. Then once the pods started to form i saw the issue. The forming pods are not round and bumped like a Bell Pepper should be. they are narrow and skinny like something out of the chili family. As the new leaf formed they are more narrow and sharp pointed like the chili family peppers that i have grown. See attached photo of the pods forming, nothing like a bell should be. reason i gave three was due to the germination of the seed. All that were started germinated and the plants are healthy as they can be.Also plants are in an isolated environment indoors away from other plants, even if this had cross pollination the pods would not exhibit traits of the father plant until next round of seed was germinated. So there is no cross pollination going on at all.

Nothing yet
I received my seeds in a clear plastic baggie with a sticker stating what was in the package. I planted them a week ago and nothing has sprouted yet. Tomatoes, and two types of flowers are up. I'll give it another week to see if something sprouts, if so I'll change my stars. As stated previously by another reviewer, this is a big disappointment. I have prime but i wanted these seeds and they weren't prime eligible, so I paid for shipping as well. Waste of money.Update 6/1/13 so I gave up on the peppers, stopped watering them for a day, left them coverered and walked away. Two days later nearly all the peppers sprouted!! Because there were no instructions I didn't know the germination time, apparently fourteen days is about right. I upped my stars to four. The only thing I dislike is the labeling on the package. Nothing in the description of the product that I received states it's actually organic. With all the GMO (genetically modified organisms) I want good wholesome food that was made, planted 100 years ago...I'm excited to see these grow. I'll keep my fingers crossed and update as everything grows (I hope)...

Questionable & Disappointing
Disappointing, really disappointing. I was excited to try planting some 'organic peppers', but looks like it won't be happening this year.First of all, the description says Organic Bell Pepper seeds. NO-where on the packaging does it say 'organic'. In fact the packaging looks like my neighbor threw some seeds in a Ziploc bag.Secondly, these arrived from China. Seeds coming from China should be clearly labeled in the product description. I will be discarding these seeds because I am not sure about them, if they are really organic, and where they came from? Would not have purchased if I knew what I know now.Lastly, this took forever to receive. Ordered on March 26, and just received today (May 15)......I ordered mine from a seller called "FiveShop", not sure if the other sellers do things differently, but I won't be ordering from them again. For a few bucks more I will purchase from a reliable source.

Perfect for someone that has everything...
Unique. That's what I was looking for. Sooo I bought more. Lol.I gifted these seeds and my Dad & Momma they loved them. His exact words were, "where's the sun so I can get these planted!"...Thanks for making my gift giving this year A breeze.

Poor old seeds
Out of all these seeds, only one survived.Only seven of these seeds even germinated and one is still alive today. I started all the seeds in Feb. 2010 and the plant just grew its first pepper. I was excited to have different peppers, but very disappointed in how these seeds didn't even germinate.Seeing as other people have the same issues as me, I'm guessing these seeds are too old. Two stars only because one plant made it. Its pretty sad.
