Overall satisfied. Gave 4 star rather than 5 due to style of safety/retainer clips used. Installed on 2007 Pontiac G6 GT convertible, where the body-side ball socket area has very limited space. Due to this I was not able to install the stiff wire safety/retaining clip on either the left or right side. If you want to use these on a vehicle with limited clearance around either ball socket, recommend you consider supports with an easier to access safety/retaining clip configuration.

Removal of the old struts take some effort. Found a YouTube video on how to remove. The new ones snap in place. These were the right size and hold up the trunk lid. I could not find the correct units at the auto parts store.

These solved the sagging truck lid which caused many a cuss work when I banged my head on it. I installed them in minutes and now the trunk stays securely where it belongs. It did make it a little stiffer to lift but that's okay.

I had gone to two different parts stores and every time they provided a similar part, but it was not the correct part. I looked on Amazon and BOXI had the part, but I was sceptical. Once I received the parts I was illated that they were an exact fit. The factory parts were somewhat difficult to remove, but these were very easy to install. Excellent Product.

These are pure garbage. The retention system is a pin that cannot be installed in a blind spot. the end is threaded on without any locktite and they rattle because of the poor thread quality.

Instructions were a little vague for attaching end but vendor was very helpful and resolved my issue. Trunk lid like functions as new now

Hubby put these in the trunk of my car to make it easier for me to lift my heavy trunk. Everyone thinks they work well but my hand problems are so bad that the trunk is still to heave for me. :(

I was nervous about buying car parts off Amazon but these were great. The mechanic that was working on something else for my car put these in for me for free so I’m sure they were easy to put in.

Trunk gas charged lift works great. A bit tricky installing locking pins. Use the right tool (ie, small locking pliers) to line up pins. Once installed worked fine. Put a towel down underneath lift so that if you drop pin, you won't lose it.
