10/10 these ice packs work great.
I bought four total, two blue and two pink, for my mom after her hip surgery. I thought it was going to be overkill but worked out because there was swelling in her knee following surgery and we ended up using two ice packs per icing. The different color options was great. We'd use one color for awhile while the other color was freezing, and then swap them out. I always knew which one was cold vs which one still needed time to cool down due to the different colors. Granted, I could feel the cold one vs the one needing to freeze. But when you're getting up a few times a night to help someone goto the bathroom, you get a little sleep deprived and miss obvious things. It happens. This prevented that and really helped me make sure I could help keep my mom comfortable without much thought. The size was great. I wanted something large enough that would cover her incision with no issues but not too large that we were icing her whole leg. These did just that. These ice packs stay cold for along time. My mom would ice her hip when she woke up, take the ice packs off for at least 40-50 minutes to eat breakfast and when she went to ice again, they still had enough coolness to them to ice a second time. When frozen, they were still plyable to her body. They weren't hard as a rock. Another plus in my book. I read reviews saying they became hard as rocks which had me second guessing if I should give them a shot, but thankfully I didn't have that issue. These ice packs are built to last. The seams are sturdy, they use a thick plastic, and overall I'm expecting years of being able to use these with no issue. 10/10 would recommend to keep a few of these in your freezer for emergencies, or buying them for icing after a major surgery. Way better than the beaded ice packs my local Walmart offered.

Works great
Love these. The size is great to apply on your body, stays cold for a long time. Nice and thin too slide in a boot brace when broke ankle.

They fold where you want them and last longer then ice
Best ice packs I ever had cause you can fold it where you want it but it takes a few hours to get a full freeze and they last awhile who cares when you have 2-4 of them. But if you have a time walking it sucks.

I will be buying more
A year and a half ago I bought 5 brands of icepacks. I bought them for several different reasons. My room stays about 10 degrees hotter than the rest of the apartment due to my oxygen machine. So problem number 1 is that it was getting way too hot. Problem 2 is that heat aggravates many of my health issues including triggering severe pots flares, which can land me in hospital. In order to avoid that, I need to stay cooler. Problem number 3 I have HEDS with fairly regular subloxations and dislocations. Sometimes the treatment for the subsequent pain is alternating hot and cold, sometimes it's just cold, depending on where the injury was. All of them need cold at some point and ice therapy is 20-30 minutes. Ice for pots is 30-45 minutes for heart regulation. So my quest became finding icepacks that would last long enough for treatments, withstand chronic use, withstand being in the freezer almost constantly, the weight of my limbs resting on them, and be somewhat comfortable. (To be clear, I do actually have an ICE pack too, like one you shove full of ice and then screw the lid on. You just have to replace the ice when you need to use it again. A little annoying to deal with. But works in a pinch, so long as you have ice handy. One brand didn't even last a week. It burst in the freezer (it was meant to be only an icepack, not actually for medical use, but like a cooler ice pack. My plan was to use it paired with a softer pack and have it rest on my back to help keep the soft pack colder longer for POTS treatment. I didn't even get to try because the ice pack couldn't handle the freezer. The next brand was very soft, one of those ones with fabric outside AND a fuzzy cover for it. Both with and without the cover it didn't keep cold for longer than 10 minutes. For $20 I expect things to keep temperature. Third brand has that thin white plastic over the outside, never fully freezes. Has gel stuff inside... one of the two burst almost immediately and had to be tossed, very disappointing to pull your icepack away to realize your towel is saturated in gross sticky gel that smells kind of bad. Fourth brand looks a lot like these, rainbow something... and they just couldn't stay cold and take forever to freeze. 8 hours in the freezer for 15 minutes of cold. Great for a sports injury maybe, but awful for what I need it for. Even doubling up icepacks and using two at once didn't help it keep it's cold much. Not comes perfect remedy. Sturdy, flexible, comes with a fabric cover (though I prefer folding a tea towel around it to let more cold through), have not seen any breaks in it, curved corners on the plastic so it's not really sharp, and most importantly it will keep it's cold for an hour. And it's just a touch bigger than some other brands. I've included a photo of perfect remedy next to resters choice (the fabric brand.) They have been out of the freezer long enough for me to write this review and resters choice is already almost to room temp. It's completely melted. Just sitting there. For 10, 15 minutes. And you can see perfect remedy is still completely frozen. Very satisfied with this purchase, I wish I had tested everything soon enough to return the ones that didn't work well, but.... I do know I'll be buying more of these for the super hot summer ahead.

Great! Stays cold forever!!
I’ve been looking for cold packs like this for 10 plus years! I have one from Target Up and Up brand which they had discontinued. I still use that one from ten plus years ago. The floppy cold packs I got from other stores just tore and leaked so had to toss. Glad I finally found these! Yes, these are not as flexible as the floppy ones but they stay cold for much longer and are so much more effective. They will become more pliable if you leave them at room temperature for a few minutes but will retain their super coldness. I hope these last as long as my Target Up n Up ones. These do not come with the covers but I still had my old covers from the ones that leaked so using those.

excellent
my mom recently had knee surgery and was needing ice often for her knee. These worked so much better, she said they helped her more and it was so much easier for my dad at night and everyone else. I can’t speak to the heat side but these are perfect if you need an ice pack

Not ideal for knee replacement recovery…
I ordered 2 packs of 2 of this item because I had knee replacement surgery 3 weeks ago on June 22, 2026. I was given a sleeve that holds 2 gel packs, and I had high hopes for this item to be able to change out the packs I got from my surgeon. I was so disappointed. These are thin and really don’t last long if you’re nursing a very hot knee that is swollen and aching. The one saving grace is that I put one set into my ice pack sleeve with the packs I got from the hospital. It prolongs the use of the cold pack from 3 hours to 5 or 6 hours. So, if you’re reading this, and you are planning a knee replacement surgery, beg the hospital for a few extra packs to take home! If you are post knee surgery, get a better financial deal if you can! if you just want to do what I did and accentuate what you got from the hospital, and add to them with this item, then by all means buy this item. I have the ice bucket system, but it is cumbersome and you can’t travel with it. It’s also hard to sleep while using it. I love the system but it’s not portable enough to travel with. You have to sit in one place and traveling between the living room and bedroom is eventually annoying. I will keep my $40 dollar ice gel packs, they are working for me, but I was pretty mad when I first opened them… /> rant

Ein absolutes Muß
Wir haben die Kühlpads nun 1 Jahr im Einsatz und sehr häufig verwendet. Tun absolut was sie sollen. Ich verwende sie nicht nur bei Prellungen, sonder auch bei Insektenstichen. Nach Gebrauch einfach wieder in den Kühlschrank, das 2er Pack ist praktisch, so kann immer wieder gewechselt werden.
