Thunderstorm

I received the CD yesterday and played it last night at bedtime. The CD is not as described to be relaxing rain and thunder sounds - the only accurate statement is there is no added musical accompaniment, as stated on the Amazon description. The thunder sounds at the beginning of the CD sounded like someone blowing on a microphone. I got out of bed, ruining my relaxation, to check the CD for damage and found no scratches; next, I turned the CD player down low to see if that would soothe the sound. It did not. The rain doesn't SOUND like rain. It sounds like rushing water that is emptying out of the gutter drain - or a running toilet. The water sound is consistent throughout. I was expecting to hear rain DROPS falling, not the sound of running water. I have another thunderstorm CD that I bought a long time ago that is far superior to this poorly recorded CD. My older CD has some loud clapping thunder, and that is why I bought the new CD - it is supposed to be soft, distant thunder. WRONG. Do not buy it unless you like to hear the sound of your toilet running when you are trying to drift off to sleep. I am very disappointed, especially since I love the sound of rain (NOT running water).

I listen to this every night for sleeping. The only thing wrong with it is I have to bring it with me when I travel so I can melt into a deep sleep. If rain on a roof calms you, this CD will be great for you.
