I got this book for a friend who's father used to read it to them. It was nostalgic for them and ment a great deal to them.Little Orphant Annie

When I was a child, my mother read to us every night before going to bed. I was still in high school and sitting, listening to her read. The one story we asked for time and again was Little Orphant Annie. There were 5 of us and I was the oldest and we all found this story to be our favorite choice. There were times when she would ask that we request something else just for a change. So glad to have it once again. The book is in perfect condition and I am thrilled to have this in my collection as an adult.

It had the poems I wanted.

I ordered this for my 91 year old grandma. She used to have a book of children's poetry but it went missing. This has Lille Orphant Annie which is her favorite Halloween read for young kids, She can now share it with her great grand kids.

If you like James Whitcomb Rileys poems and dont want to get a huge book this is worth it. Rileys famous poem Little Orphan Annie is in its entire glory not the abridged editions you are most likely to find.The poem is not connected to the cartoon Little Orphan Annie.
