I bought this anxiety relief coloring book because I was told it would help me relax. What I did not expect was to form a deep emotional bond with a pack of markers and aggressively shade flowers like they personally wronged me. Within five minutes, my shoulders dropped, my breathing slowed, and I forgot about my responsibilities. Within ten minutes, I was extremely invested in whether this leaf should be teal or “slightly unhinged forest green.” There is something wildly therapeutic about focusing all your stress into not coloring outside the lines while ignoring the chaos of real life. This book does exactly what it promises. It quiets your brain, gives your hands something productive to do, and lets you feel accomplished for finishing a page instead of doom-scrolling. Highly recommend for anyone whose anxiety needs a harmless outlet and a reminder that sometimes the solution is just coloring a very detailed flower.
