Q: Where is this manufactured? Please answer honestly.

According to the manufacturer's label on the bar, it was made in Taiwan. Mine works fine and I do recommend it.

Q: Could ratchet strap hooks fit on the bar? I want to secure gas cans safer than just ratchet strapping them though the handles.

The standard basic strap hooks will not fit on the outer portion of the bar. But it will fit the inner chrome/silver slotted portion of the bar. Some of the heavy duty industrial strap with larger hook opening will fit.

Q: How long is this really? It says 6 foot, so 72 inches? I have a newer 2021 gmc and the beds are 70 wide

This thing is about 41 1/2 inches at its shortest and goes all the way up to 75 inches stretched all the way out. You should be fine.

Q: Has anyone had success using this in a car trunk?

Yes, I use this in my GMC Sierra Denalli and it works great It is adjustable and should work in most any vehicles
