I tried to remove a pocket from a shirt that was tacked on using a satin stitch & I ended up cutting the fabric. It is good for single line stitching though, love mine. **Q: Can you buy replacement blades?** A: Never needed replacement blades. Like an electric razor **Q: Has anyone used this on machine embroidered items?** A: Yes, I’ve used mine a ton on embroidered items. It may not remove all the thread but it loosens it enough that the stitching can be gotten to with a seam ripper. And it will ‘clip’ off long threads. It’s not a cure all for embroidery oops but I is a great help. **Q: Would this work on jean seams?** A: I haven’t used my seam ripper on denim...it is designed for seam ripping, so worth a try! Mine is used mostly for ripping out quilting seams, when making my new quilts. ## Frequently Bought Together - Galaxy Notions - Electric Seam Ripper Battery Operated (Purple) - Sewing Seam Ripper Tool,Stitch Remover and Thread Cutter with 2Big+2Small Seam Rippers,1 Pack Thread Snips,1Pack 5”Scissor - 10 Pieces Seam Rippers Razor Stitch Seam Ripper Cutters Thread Remover Tool with Protective Case for Sewing Crafting Embroidery --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/393185843-galaxy-notions-electric-seam-ripper-battery-operated-purple](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/393185843-galaxy-notions-electric-seam-ripper-battery-operated-purple) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-17*
