Plug into the Foot-switch port at the back with a standard guitar jack cable. The switch alternates between the clean and dirty channel (note that the panel switch should be at the "Dirty" position for this to work). The LED turns on when you are playing in the Dirty channel. The size footprint is really small so it would be good for this to be mounted on a pedal-board of some sort for extra stability. The finish is top-notch and nothing looks flimsy.
