Biocorneum Silicone Scar Gel w/ Silishield®, SPF 30 Scar Removal Cream, 50g

I've had my belly button pierced on the top and bottom about 10 or 11 different times yeah I know that that's very insane but that's one piercing. I've always wanted to have. With that being said it left horrible scars where doctors thought that they were from a surgery and they weren't. I bought this and it works miracles. The price is a little high, but do you put a price on your body. This truly works miracles. I would not purchase it if it didn't. I had a sample of it from when I worked at a plastic surgery clinic and I knew I had to have it.

I can’t say enough about this product! My surgeon initially recommended it years ago. I just found the really small amount left over from years ago. I began applying it to my GIGANTIC battle wound heart surgery left me with. Applying it faithfully 2x daily on a clean dry scar will eventually leaving you wondering where it went. Because my scar extends from my neck down my sternum I purchased the 50 gm bottle. I apply a pea sized amount using my finger and a thin layer kinda massaging into the scar let it dry and get dressed. I have not noticed any transfer on my clothes. It’s a bit pricey but it also works!

I don’t usually write reviews, but this product is so good that I had to come back and leave one. My C-section scar is almost 2 years old (22 months). It wasn’t a severe keloid scar, but it was slightly raised and still had some pink discoloration. My pelvic floor therapist recommended that I try this product. It’s been less than a week, and I’m already seeing a noticeable improvement. The pink color is fading, and the scar is beginning to flatten. I’m honestly amazed at how quickly it’s working. If you’re on the fence about trying it, I highly recommend giving it a shot!

Good scar removal

I heard about this product in a cosmetic surgery blog I read. After researching it more on Amazon, I found nothing but good reviews on it. What I didn't see were any reviews on anyone using it for a tummy tuck scar, and even fewer reviews on darker skin. I'm of West Indian decent with olive skin. I had a tummy tuck in January 2014 and was given the ok to start using a scar treatment 4 weeks post operation. Biocorneum was the only treatment I've tried on my scar and it has dramatically lighted in color (my scar was very dark). It's supposed to be applied twice daily but I have been using it once a day. I will start doing it the recommended 2x daily. A little goes a long way, it is not sticky like I read in other reviews , and it smells ok-- like suntan lotion. I also use it on an older scar from august 2013 (breast lift), and it seems to have slightly lightened the scar. May need more time being an older scar. The 50g size is the better deal for the price. I wanted to purchase this product earlier but the 50g size was sold out on Amazon! As soon as it was back in stock I ordered it. Shipping was fast. Thank you Amazon.

Tummy tuck to work on scarring.

I did a lot of research before I ordered this stuff. I ordered bikcroneum and scar away patches as all my research seemed to point to these two being the best products. After using both interchangeably over the last 2 months (since a long incision and deep on my elbow for ulcer nerve decompression surgery) I have to say that the scar away patches do a lot especially when combined with scar massage which I just do myself. It noticibly softens the scar after wearing for 23 hours. Then I use the biocromium when I have to have the scar patch off for a few hours. I really can’t see that the biocronium does anything. I may as well have stuck with bio oil which seems to be just as good as biocronium. And if I need a sunscreen I’d pick a waterproof one so that’s not an advantage to this product either. I really don’t see the point of it and I’ll just stick with scar away.

I order this product and I returned it because the expired day was only less than 3 months.
