Lee Kum Kee Chow Mein Stir-Fry Sauce, Vegan, 2.4 kg Pack of 2

It took some trial and error to get the strength of flavour right as there is no helpful instruction’s with them. I had to give one canister away as they have a very short shelf life. I presume these are meant for a restaurant rather than a domestic kitchen. This is not an item that I will purchase in such quantity again.

What is this? It is way too sweet.. almost like candy!! I can't use this... I like the Teriyaki instead.. Which is less sweet. I like all all Lee Kum Kee products except this! Totally useless. I bought two of these as well. It is not just me; anyone I made starry with this for have all said unanimously that it is too sweet and makes you not want to eat your noodles or fried rice. Even at very small quantities, it makes you lose your appetite.. it is so sweet. Sigh! :(

Very strong and not for the occasional home chef due to shelf life. I put a decent amount on a noodle dinner and it was way too strong so I put a much more conservative amount on my most recent attempt. It's still massively salty and strong so I suspect it needs to be diluted although the instructions are unclear. I think I'll get there but ordering the quantities required means no more from here for me.

Very good product, qood quality, perfect size 👌 👍 😀 Flavour is nice,the sauce is slightly thick 👌 Perfect with vegetables and noodles 🍜Recommended 🙂

This sauce smells disgusting, and I'm dreading to taste it on some noodles.

I’m no stranger to a stir fry at home but typically go with loads of veg and quite a sauce heavy fry using the likes of Blue Dragon black bean sauce or something. However I wanted to try and recreate your typical Chinese takeaway Chow Mein which in the UK is usually noodle heavy and quite dry in comparison.Bought the two massive bottles of this and as soon as I opened one I knew immediately this must be the stuff the takeaways use or similar. It’s super rich and thick in consistency, very strong soy and sesame flavour.I used about 80ml in the giant meal for two shown in my pictures. Results were FANTASTIC. A nice rich Chinese chow Mein taste, and a relatively drier texture than your typical stir fry. Just a whole lot fresher than your Saturday night special.Top notch. This is the one.
