Mine has been open and partially used for 6 months and it’s still good. Main thing is to keep well sealed and away from humidity. Since it’s freeze dried it is waiting to absorb moisture. **Q: Is the nutrition information label based upon the fully hydrated and prepared product and not based upon the powder itself?** A: Hi thanks for asking. The nutritional facts are based on the original product but Plain water is devoid of these nutrients and thus contains no calories. Still, it may contain trace amounts of minerals, including calcium, magnesium, sodium, zinc, and copper. This really depends on the water each consumer uses. Hope this is clear and helpful and Enjoy! RTG **Q: what is the sodium content, since there is sea salt list?** A: Hello! The sodium amount is 410 mg per serving, which is 2 tbsp. Keep in mind the recommended amount of sodium per day is up to 2,300 mg per day. ;) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Great backpacking option *by M***E on Reviewed in the United States on August 24, 2022* We enjoyed it while backpacking in Olympic NP. One packet was enough for 6 folks to use as a topping for (pre-made, brought for our first night meal) quesadillas - not a lot for each of us, but enough to improve an otherwise bland meal. The flavor is not spicy, but you can taste some salt and lime in addition to the avocado. ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars Don’t bother *by A***Z on Reviewed in the United States on October 8, 2022* Unless you are somewhere with no access to avocados, do not waste your money. I thought this would be an easy and convenient way to make fast guacamole. First, it makes a shockingly small amount of guacamole, not even near 8 ounces. It had a couple of bites worth. Second, the room temperature water was not enough to dissolve the chunks. I tried warmer water and I still had a few chunks of the freeze dried avocado. And finally, the flavor sucked. It says it has lime and salt but it tasted like a bland avocado, I had to lime and salt it myself. Moral of the story: you will save time and money and frustration by going to the grocery store and buying a nice big avocado. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Not too bad! *by S***S on Reviewed in the United States on July 10, 2022* Try to get the contents of the package as broken up as possible (powder state) before adding water. The second time around with doing that was way better. It reduces to a fairly small amount. Says 8 oz, but was not that much. Good for one person and 12-16 chips --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/392343846-ready-to-guac-instant-guacamole-freeze-dried-dehydrated-hass-avocado](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/392343846-ready-to-guac-instant-guacamole-freeze-dried-dehydrated-hass-avocado) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-11-07*
