A decent comic, but nothing remarkable.
I played Darksiders II, enjoyed the story, and admired the main character: Death. I liked his intellect and cool demeanor. Some of that does find itself in this comic, but the story isn't that interesting. The back cover reads "Chasing the creature across realms, Death takes him on a heart-pounding adventure that reveals some of the greatest mysteries of the universe!" Spoilers: that ain't quite what happens. No one is "chased," and no mysteries are revealed. We get a little back story, which was cool, and then Death goes to kill someone. The end. The art was, in general, pretty cool, and certainly fit the tone of the story. The direction of the story though was confusing at times. Things just happen suddenly. Despite the 3-Star score, I do recommend this book for an interested person. The asking price is not bad; but no hearts were pounded... Death is still cool though.

Great for any Darksiders fan!
Darksiders II: Death's Door is a story of Death's journey to track down a demon that slew several angels, and fled to earth. In the process of this, he deals with several interesting characters, some from the games, some not, to prepare himself, along with slaying the Leviathan itself for a weapon he can use. The illustrations are beautiful and, while not done by Joe Mad himself, mimics the style well enough that it didn't put me off.

Over too quickly. Kindle edition is...cool! More horseman tidbits and lore to delight in.
Darksiders II: Death's Door is a fun read and is over too quickly, but is worth it just to see how the Horsemen got their horses.I got the Kindle edition for my Kindle HD. It took a bit of getting use to navigate. I could either see it a whole page at a time, or a panel at a time. Both worked ok, but the lettering gets really small when doing full page view.Great book otherwise...but it feels like tease being only 64 pages long.

Cool!!
Nice Art! So, although I wished it was by the Legendary Joe Madureira, who did the original designs for Darksiders, it was far from disappointing! The artist did it very nice justice! I am very glad to have this one in my collection, and I WOULD recommend this book,....before it's gone. Very nice collection for Darksiders fans.

Yeah Buddy!!!
I fell in love with this storyline with the first DARKSIDERS game for the PS3 and bought the prequel story to DARKSIDERS II as well as the game. Was pleasantly surprised with both games and felt that the graphic novel would deliver as well. It did and I'm all the better for it. The artwork was fantastic and the plotlines were sound. A must read for the fan of the games and a great addition to all in the comic world.

Okay prequel to a good game.
It was alright. It had a good story as a prequel to Darksiders 2, but it was way too short and I got confused at times. I finished it probably within 10 minutes of reading it. The art made and the way it was written confused me at times though. One minute Death is talking to Vulgrim and the next he beats a serpent up. There is nothing in between that leads up to points like that. How did he find the creature? How did he kill it? What point did it serve? Etc.Still. It was good, but I expected more.

Death strikes again
For fans of the darksiders franchise, this prequel of sorts adds to the mythology of the darksiders universe. Give it a spin, it's a great backstory to an already addicting mystery as to the how's and why's of the four horsemen and it's supporting characters. You will not be dissapointed! Take it from a fan this is must read! Nuff said!!!

nice
I loved the storyline though I wish I could have seen more of War and the other Horseman. Still makes for a very good read even if it was a but short (it's a comic so you can't really expect more than that). Definitely recommended to Darksiders fans

Wonderful story and a must-have for darksiders fans
A very nice addition to the lore from the games, all bound neatly in a hardback cover.

The horseman cometh!
This isnt essential to the main story but does reveal a little of the other horsemens characters and abit more of the sarcastic side to death. The art is great though the story is short, if your a fan of the series and need more darksiders in your life then definatley dive into this but likley more casual fans may give it a miss.

Great insight
Great insight into how the horseman aquired their steeds, and the first showing of corruption.Lovely illustration and the story is well narrated by death.
