Rocket Department Learn to Solder Kit: Firefly Jar

I have no soldered anything other than a few wire splices/repairs since I was in high-school and though this would be fun practice. It was very easy and straight forward. I got the kit with the newer tilt-sensor that is easier than the kit pictured. I plan to order their other kits to practice more before getting into arduino/pi stuff in the near future.

I ordered this to show my daughter how to use a soldering iron. It was a fun simple project and she keeps it on the bookshelf in her room.

My 10 year old soldered it for my 5 year old. He loves it.

All of the kits from Rocket Department are easy to solder, well thought out and great for beginners. This kit was no exception. Both of my kids, ages 10 and 12, easily soldered and put this kit together without difficultly. The support offered through Rocket Department is exceptional when needed. I highly recommend this kit (as well as their other kits) without reservation.
