Planters PrideRZE0042-4 50-Count Fiber Grow Pellet Refills

Contrary to the product description, these pellets do not fit this Planters pride unit...PLANTERS' PRIDE 15-Pellet Grow Tough Greenhouse with Pellets, Jungle Green...sold here at Amazon. The product otherwise is as good as other pellets I have purchased.

Rip off. Did not expand in hot water like peat then fell apart.Will update if seeds germinate.Looks like this is a horrible product.

I bought this to try to germinate some seeds in door prior to planting outside. Tried several varieties but none germinated. These do not work for me, a waste of money.

These pellets are supposed to expand 10X faster than competitive pellets and they claim they expand to 2 inches in height - which was why I bought them. What bologne. I followed the basic directions but after soaking these pellets for over an hour they still did not expand to 2 inches let alone 1 inch. In the end the pellets only expanded about 3/4 of an inch and the only way they made it to an inch was by manipulation by hand and then resoaking. I find that the material that they wrapped the peat in also seems to be quite tightly woven and I have my doubts that the roots will be able to penetrate it. Time will tell. Personally I wouldn't recommend these and I would never buy them again. Pellets are made in Vietnam, it is a really coarse peat, plastic container in Taiwan and the descriptive card was printed in Canada.

Bought a batch of Asian veggie seeds & my local nursery recommended the Planters Pride fiber grow pellet green house kit. I followed the instructions as-is, the seeds startes to sprout 3 days later :-)
