MacLean's Authentic Apple Wood Smoking Pellets, 5 Pound Bag

I was looking for a smaller bag of pellets for a ninja woodfire grill. This bag for the bill perfectly. I’ll get many sessions out of this bag. While you can probably find more economical bags if you’re willing to store 20 lbs, this 5 lbs bag is perfect for me and the flavor and smoke quality is great.

I bought these to use in a pellet tube smoker to cold-smoke cheese. They produce a very pleasant smoke that worked really well for my application. After leaving the cheese in a vacuum sealed bag for at least 2 weeks in the fridge, I was left with a delightful smoked cheddar that was smoky, but not overwhelmingly so. Applewood was definitely a good choice for this application. It took quite a long time to get them to light initially, but then they smoldered and produced a consistent smoke for 2 hours with the size smoking tube I used
