Review: My Car Dealer Uses This Himself - Although I haven't been using Mighty Mint repellant spray very long, it seems to be a great addition to anti mouse tactics here in the country. Smells so good too.
Review: Upgrading previous review - My Toyota technician discovered rodent droppings in my car engine and recommended a poison block. I used it but then: 1) it didn't seem to be keeping the rodents away, and 2) I didn't want to poison them if there were another way to keep them away. I tried this spray but the scent was so faint that I didn't see how it could work. I gave it a poor review because of that. But now I'm trying it again and the scent is stronger (don't know why the difference from before). I've had no rodents but don't know whether it's because of this spray or whether they just went away anyway; therefore I don't know how to rate it. But as long as the rodents don't reappear, I'll keep using it on the chance that it is what is causing them to stay away. I have now been using it for quite a while, once/week, and there has been no sign of rodents, so it must be doing the job. Now I'm going to give it 5 stars.

**Q: Can I spray under car hood and in wheel wells?**
A: Manufacturers' information and several reviewers have indicated that the spray is safe for engine compartments.  The trick is to spray often.  If you can't smell it, spray again.  It is a very heavily scented mint and you may notice it more if you use the car and the engine gets warmer.  Spraying on the undercarriage and even on the ground around the vehicle also seems to help, so wheel wells shouldn't be a problem.  It is NOT a use once and forget product.  But diligent and repetitive use should help keep small rodents away from your vehicle.  I also spray inside the trunk and under the seats in the interior.  It really depends on how much you mind or enjoy the minty scent.  Hope this helps.

**Q: can this be used to keep squirrels away from bird feeders?**
A: Squirrels yes

**Q: What's the difference between the vehicle formula and the indoor/outdoor formula?**
A: As far as I can see, I was looking for something that would not hurt my engine if I sprayed it directly on the hood inside and on the engine itself and that’s what the vehicle one is made for. The indoor outdoor I can’t really explain but I wouldn’t use it on my car parts. And I’m not sure if the indoor outdoor is pure peppermint oil, but I know that the engine rodent protection one is pure, very strong, and it’s been working quite well. I don’t spray it every day just about once a week in the summer but when the weather starts getting cooler, I’ll be spraying it more often.

**Q: Can I spray this all under the hood of my car?!?!**
A: Yes .I suggest to spray the lining under the hood .It will soak up the spray and maintain the smell of the spray longer.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Don’t buy it for the sprayer

The product itself seems to work well, but the sprayer stopped working after only a couple of uses. Before this, I was using Harris Peppermint Oil, which has the same percentage of peppermint plus a little cinnamon oil, so the scent is a bit stronger. But this jug was more economical and had the bonus of a sprayer wand, which I thought would be easier to use. And it was… until it broke. The product itself seems fine, but I have to pour it into a regular spray bottle to use it. Next time, I’ll be going back to the Harris spray. UPDATE: The company contacted me after reading this review and offered to refund my cost due to the broken sprayer, which I thought was really nice of them. I recently bought another jug of this product* because it does seem to do the job and it is more economical than the smaller bottles. I am impressed that it contains 4% peppermint oil, whereas most other brands contain only 1% or less. As for spraying it, the best solution we found was to pour the product into a small pressure (pump) sprayer and use it that way. Goes on quick and easy with even coverage. So the included sprayer is irrelevant to us now. (Maybe Mighty Mint should think about selling refill jugs with no sprayer at all?) Added a star for product efficacy and great customer service. *not this exact product, but the Mighty Mint Rodent Natural Peppermint Oil Spray, which has the exact same ingredients, just a different color (green) label and the ability to be purchased on Subscribe and Save for a discount.
