Worth the money

I used this kit to re-wire my solar battery bank. This kit is perfect because you can cut them to custom lengths that fit your situation. Buying pre-cut/crimped with connectors can get expensive depending upon how big your battery bank is. 2 bits of advice: Make sure you have the right tools for crimping the connectors. You can't do it with a standard pliers or electrical crimpers. These 2 AWG cables and the connectors are super heavy duty. I used my bench vice to get the job done. It was tricky, but it worked. Secondly - Figure out how many cables you are going to cut this into. Remember that for each set of cables, you'll be using 4 connectors (2 each Positive & Negative). I had to buy 2 extra connectors at the store because I needed 3 sets of cables for a total of 6, thus needing 12 connectors. Great kit for the DIY guy because it gives you flexibility!

ok, this is a great product. I haven't actually used it yet, but looking at it, rolling it out, checking it thoroughly - its excellent quality and value. I have to deduct one star - really, i'd deduct 1/3 of a star if i could, i'll explain why in a bit - but I'd spent a lot of time looking for exactly what I needed for a good high quality connection for my inverter setup. I'd done a lot of research - and high quality right-sized welding cable, with tinned solid copper connectors, and heat shrink tubing was exactly what I'd come up with. I'd spent a lot of time researching and pricing the individual components before I found this complete set, and the specs for it are perfect, and pricing much better then buying the individual pieces. The only minor downside was after measuring everything and checking I got everything, I discovered the heat shrink tubing was only 26 inches - that's 10 inches short of the description, and I'd calculated I needed 30 inches for my project, so it probably leaves me a bit short. Not a big issues as its easy to obtain and inexpensive, just a little frustrating and weird that for al the quality in this package, that's the area they'd cut a corner! Probably just a simple mistake. Overall, would absolutely recommend this to anyone, and would absolutely re-purchase if I need to.

Using for grounds and for running from alternator straight to battery… will be buying more in the future
