Great design in a flexible rubber texture stamp
Lisa Pavelka has some really fun texture stamp designs on the market. I use them for adding textural designs to various types of clay...polymer, paperclay, and even ceramic/porcelain clays. As it was designed with polymer clay in mind, it does seem to work best with it; however I've been very happy with the results on other clays also. With paperclay, I usually give a very light dusting of talcum powder into the texture stamp before pressing it onto the paperclay to keep it from sticking. With any of the non-firing clays, you can also brush some Pearl-x metallic powder into the stamp to add a special sheen to the finished project. Alternatively, after you've stamped your clay with texture, you can rub some Rub-n-Buff metallic patina wax onto the raised portions of the design. Many very nice options.

I use this with fairly moist clay. Not leather hard. Make a great impression and is flexible to go around curves.
